I would like to start out by saying thank you to all the brilliant, warm, loving and helpful members here @ DMT-Nexus. I have spent countless hours every day for the past month, digging through the forums and wiki, absorbing the priceless knowledge shared here. I have learned so much in that amount of time, that it is almost unfathomable. I love the atmosphere here! It has been a very pleasant, rewarding and educational experience to say the least.
My senses have, once again, re-aligned me to the path of my calling and discovering this community has truly been a blessing. Several years ago, I was intuitively drawn to this realm of sacred plants, shamanism and esoteric knowledge. It began with alchemy, shrouded in secrecy and riddle with symbolism, this little known, often ridiculed, ancient science and religion, of which was built and based solely upon the principles of nature, universal forces and trail and error.
Now I will state the obvious. One of the main goals of the alchemist or philosopher of nature, was to create the Philosophers Stone, which is said to hold the power to convert lead into gold, and I for one actually believe that several reputable figures did achieve this goal, after years of intense meditation, research and the Great Work. I have read several practical alchemy manuscripts, by none but the greatest philosophical minds of the past, and after unraveling all the intentionally placed, misleading instructions, and solving the riddles and symbolism, I can say with confidence that many of them achieved the exact same results, using slightly different methods. What really solidifies this belief for me, is the fact that the people doing these processes and experiments were all from different parts of the world and in almost all cases had no contact with their fellow successors. This magical substance was said not only to perfect all the impure metals to the state of gold, but also the body, mind and spirit of any man who ingests it. For gold itself, in every aspect, is the tangible result of natures strive for perfection.
Ok, I veered a little off topic there, just wanted to give those who weren't familiar with alchemy a basic idea of it. I have to say that alchemy is so much more than just turning lead into gold. In fact that is the least interesting aspect of it for me.
The very basic idea of working with a substance alchemically, involves the separation, purification and reunion (or incubation) of its three main principles. These principles were dubbed by the greats as Salt, Sulfur and Mercury (not the common ones of course) These princilples are symbolic of the nature of the substance: Salt; the non-volatile, crystalline body of the substance (the body), left over after calcination or burning, Sulphur; the active principle, a fiery spirit that vivifies and permeates everything (the soul or holy ghost) and Mercury; the extremely volatile, watery, invisible secret fire (the spirit of man working in the lower aspects of being or consciousness). The process can be performed on any material from the plant, animal or minerla kingdom.
Through alchemy I was led to Shamanism. I became very intrigued after doing some late night reading about entheogens (mainly Ayahuasca at the time) and their mystical background. After months of research and adjusting my diet, SWIM decided it was time to voyage out beyond the realms of material existence. SWIM prepared an analog brew of cappi vine and chacruna. The entire time SWIM was performing the ritual of concentrating the brew and imprinting it with my intentions, he felt a strong sense of dejavu. Everything about it seemed so familiar to him. The smells, the focusing, the noticeable change in atmosphere, basically everything about the process was very close to heart for him. SWIM deeply felt that in the past, he had lived another life as a shaman. It was the only explanation. SWIM has never encountered anything that smelled or even faintly resembled the mix he was working with, yet he knew with all his heart that they had crossed paths many times before. The brew did not seem to work after several hours (due to energy blocks I believe), so he went to bed. A few days later, some time in the evening, He became very ill. Spewing from both ends (sorry for the squeemish remark, but it's just part of the cleansing process) He began to slip into the visionary state. He does not remember a single thing from that experience, but 2 days later he noticed that an abnormal growth on his thumb and index finger, which had been there for almost 10 years, had comepletely disappeared! He also felt very renewed and it was like a huge weight had been lifted from his shoulders.
Since then SWIM has worked with psilocybin, salvia divinorum (no insight there he says, it's way too fast and meaningless) and smoked freebase DMT in low doses (~30-40mg). Mushrooms taught SWIM that we are all connected on a very deep and infinite plain of existence, though these little buggers can be a litte disturbing at times, set and setting are of utmost importance when it comes to these sacred teachers. SWIM has yet to break through into hyperspace, but came very close recently with 40mg of freebase.
As soon as he closed his eyes he could hear the high pitch frequency rising in octave and the carrier wave spreading throughout his body, raising his consciousness to higher realms of existence. He laid back and let the plant spirit perform its magic. A very calm and gentle female voice said to him "It's ok. Your with Momma now. I will take care of you. Just relax." (the spirit of the world?) Followed by some very intense CEV's of fractal patterns, triangular waves, and vibrant colors. As SWIM approached what we would call the "dimensional membrane", he was told that he was not yet ready to experience what lay beyond. He did not question this divine intelligence and happily moved along, basking in this amazing sea of energy, bliss and geometric complexity. Everything about it felt so alien in nature. Like stepping foot on another planet, whose universal laws are vastly different from our own here in the third dimension. From that point on, SWIM has only been smoking ~30 mg at a time. He is waiting for the perfect moment before he attempts to launch himself into that mysterious place again.
Well that was quite a long and partially unnecessary(?) intro, haha. Anyway, I'm very excited to share some great news with you all regarding an idea for administration, that has been mentioned and kicked around recently. Stay tuned for the chocolate frosted topping! :d
