Greetings! First attempt at extraction

Hello everyone! Thanks for adding me to the nexus. I just today attempted my first extraction using the Q21Q21 tec 1. My lime mixture actually sat for a couple of days due to shit happens. From research here and other sites it appears that this is ok, and should actually increase initial yields. Today I did two limonene washes about 10 hours apart on approximately 100 g mhrb. I plan to do a third wash tomorrow.

I plan to evaporate the vinegar saltings to get the (hopefully) resulting Jimjam. I have another 100 g mhrb that I limed at the same time that I plan on doing two pulls on tomorrow.

A couple of questions that I haven’t been able to answer.....
1. I accidentally used 6% vinegar. Will this slightly higher acidity cause any problems?
2. Will I create loss of product if I hasten evaporation in the oven as described in the blab tec? I doesn’t appear from readings that it would, but since it’s comb info from different tecs I thought it would be best to ask.

Thanks for your answers. I have a while yet before my body is cleared of prescription MAOIs, but I’ll post about the experience as soon as I can.

Hey dude, welcome here :)

6% vinegar is fine, a little more base could be needed to compensate.
You can dry your cake in oven in low T°, don't overheat at 200°C, it will consume your spice.
Using oven at 60°C is okay for drying (with the door a little bit open).
