Happy new year.
I m a guy around 30 years old from this small country in central Europe. Researching about the human counsciousness and the interaction of our spirit and the entheogenic drugs is one of my hobbies. I read a lot about this subject and make some experiment. I m also a moderator on a french speaking forum about the culture of magic mushrooms.

At the moment, I m very interested in the possibility to use the phragmite australise as an local source of DMT. One of our forum members claim to have extracted 4 g of DMT ou of 2.5 kg of phragmites rhizomes. In the next months, I intend to verify this.

Yes, I had read it.

I dont think that the young member of our forum lied (although this remains a possibility).

The experiment will probably start in April since I m currently working abroad and cant access to my lab/workshop. Be sure I will report the results here.

Be greeted. The Phragmites a. rhizomes can easily be used as a ,local source´ of DMT. I´ve tried it for myself, but without success.
 
Best of luck with your extraction. It is certainly possible and has been accomplished by many if you know were to look.
There may be variations in strains but I have seen the crystals and partaken in them and it is a worthwhile thing to attempt.
I think it would be more popular if it was not so much work obtaining the rhizomes.

There was a pic tek on this very site early on by the wacky alchemist guy who got pissed and left but he had it documented with pix from the hole he dug the rhizomes to the final crystals. It is a legit tek and the rhizomes are easy picken if you got a shovel and a strong back.

I would like to see it documented because I know it can be done. I look forward to your report.

yes, I read many reports about DMT extracted from phragmites australis, but none was properly documented. I will try to make as many pictures and notes as possible.

As I said, it will not be possible untill april.
 
Nice to meet you. Being a tourist in your country is expensive, by the way. ;)

phragmite australis is found in the states too, no? If the extraction process is manageable by a common person, this is great!

I think it is a very common plant in the US, yes. I heard that the extraction of the rhizomes from the soil is difficult. We will see.
