First off, good morning/day/night, to you all...
I already feel very privileged to be here and i want to thank you all in advance for taking the time to read this essay.
I will start off with some basic background information concerning me, as well as my experience/s with DMT and other Psychedelics. I am a white male in my mid 20's. I started smoking marijuana around 11-12 years old and i do believe that it is a pretty solid reason behind why i have chosen the path that has led me here today. It was that first initial "Psychedelic Experience" that truly opened the doors of my perception. From that day forward, i have been on quite a journey through life, both spiritually and mentally as well as physically.
My fascination with the psychedelic experience began to grow rapidly during my teen years as i began to explore the world of psychedelic plants beyond just Marijuana. As i began to realize that the world of psychedelic plants grew FAR beyond marijuana i, like any curious voyager, began to explore...
Luckily for me i found Erowid.org rather quickly. From there i began really digging through the archives and discovering the world of "Psychedelics" and learning how they differed from drugs like crack, heroin, meth, etc. As i read and read, and read some more, i became almost overwhelmed with the vastness of information at my fingertips. Already having such a curious mind caused this to progress rather quickly.
By the time i was 13 i had my first true psychedelic experience with Psilocybe Cubensis Mushrooms and Marijuana. I was absolutely astonished! even after all the reading and researching, i still hadnt been prepared for what had happened to me that night. I tripped with a few good friends and smoked out on some good green all night. Now the trip itself is a whole experience report for another post, but im sure you can all imagine, or think back to your first "Glowing Experience" with a psychedelic tryptamine. I was so incredibly amazed at the detail and the complexity of the trip, that i knew at least in my mind, that i was truly meant to further explore these realms of the multiverse.
It was from that day forward that i became somewhat obsessed with the world of psychedelics and entheogenic plants and the desire to explain them and tell there story the way i saw it through my eyes.
Whatever fire had been lit inside my soul by these experiences was burning strong, and it was burning fierce with the desire to be explained. I developed the overpowering urge to explain the un-explainable and to shed some light on these mystical plants/alkaloids.
So it was throughout this journey to learn and to explore that i began to find like minded people in this world that shared some of that same burning passion for these plants as i did, And as i did i realized i wasnt quite so different at all.
After researching and browsing the Internets large supply of like minded communities i have chosen to try and find a spot to fit in here at the DMT Nexus.
My reasoning for choosing the Nexus over somewhere else is that, during all my exploration and experiences with all the chemicals and plants i have consumed, and ESPECIALLY after my first "DMT Breakthroughs" i have come to an ultimate conclusion within myself that the only chem/alkaloid that seems worth all this time and effort and words is DMT.
I am completely and utterly FASCINATED with the world of spice (DMT) and its users/voyagers, and that is why i am here today, writing this essay in hopes that with time and with experience i can become a welcome member of your amazing community here at the NEXUS.
