slamminsalmon
Rising Star
Thanks for creating, maintaining, and participating in such a collective. Give yourselves a pat on the back for being by far one of the most respectful, productive, forum users i surfed across.
I am slamminsalmon, apparently there is a movie, i was before it. 8) I have used multiple forums over a few years. I have to say there is definitely a respectful vibe here. Everyone is a part of something special right now. I have been browsing some threads, and read some genuine thought provoking posts. I am not a writer, nor barely educated, but i like to think i speak with tact, and with an ability to keep posts short and sweet. I have a great sense of humor, something i believe goes hand in hand with a long healthy life. My use of capitalization and apostrophes suck and are random at best.
I have worked many different jobs, but plants are my passion. I love to grow anything. I have worked in a couple different greenhouses, and now im a plant specialist(i like the name). I mostly merchandise but its still working with plants and it keeps me satisfied. I have come to find a job that allows you be happy and make money is pretty tough to come by, so without a doubt i will own a plant related business. possibly a seasonal greenhouse and year round grow shop. I say this because i have really come to find, that if you visualize your future, it will happen. dont be scared on how you will get there, just focus on your goals. it works both ways, so stay positive, keep going and dont stop!
I have long been exposed to LSD and Cubes. I have been exposed to most anything, but never anything related to dmt. i suppose its because im not ready. It did cross my path at a festival, but in a blink of an eye i knew it wasnt my time. then it was gone. I can say i can relate to some of these posters experiences. i think im sensitive, when my friends are laughing and talking, i feel like i have gone to what could be call the astral plain. i dont really know. i have also had 2 experiences with ego death. which i will share in following nursery posts.
As for my hobby, im a spinner. I spin, fire, flags, flowtoys, snakes, glow sticks. Anything on a string really, whether it was intended to be spun or not. I am a part of a small group that started meeting friday nights this summer. we spins fire for 4 hours on the street. its a busy area of town and attract a couple hundred passerby's. at the end of this month im going to a fire arts retreat called wildfire in connecticut. 2 and a half days of different skill classes for poi, plus all of the other fire arts. personally im very interested in fire breathing, and double fire staff. finding your flow with any kind of dance is like a form meditation. its hard to explain, but it requires you to be in the moment, and perfectly aware of your body and surroundings. from there your spirit flows out of you into an art that speaks volumes about the particular dancer. i have never thought of myself as a performer, but this past summer i have gotten in touch with a different side of myself. a more mindful person. pushing myself to be spiritually, physically, and mentally healthier than ever before.
other interests are sustainability, living off the grid, farming and agriculture, earth made homes and other permaculture. i believe we can always do better when i comes to taking care of our community. im working on becoming less wasteful.
my partner in crime, aka raychill is a crafty woman. together we have been making home made soap for laundry detergent, we dont make any money but we help out friends, and its pretty fun project to spend time doing together. we also have been harvesting tomatoes, peppers, and herbs. We are learning how to make our own salsa, and spaghetti sauce. raychill is the best thing to ever happen to me, we have been together for nearly three years and love spending time with each other. im very lucky to have her. she is an artist and i will gladly post some of her art if anyone is interested. she has some pretty psychedelic stuff. we met over a conversation about alex grey, and tool. she has yet to try dmt either. i introduced her to the psychedelic society. something i am interested in talking to the nexus about is couples tripping, and how it has effected relationships.
Im hoping between much of my own changes, and maybe the influence of such an open minded community i can progress. This year has been the year for change for me, so it only makes sense to find a community that truly speaks to me. i believe in the magic and unexplainable, the ineffable. i believe that most things we think are coincidences are indeed not. These are things i have come to terms with this year. If you have read anything about the saturn return, im a prime candidate of being caught in the middle of it. i have heard the call. progress or be left behind. what is coming next? i have no idea but i cant wait to find out.
i genuinely thank you for having me into your community.
