It's my very humble pleasure to meet and become a part of this forum.
I have always been a highly spiritual person and an active meditator, but I guess above all else I have always had a strong sense of curiosity towards the unknown. For this reason I ended up hearing about DMT and ayahuasca and the more I read the more enthralled I become with how much potential a "drug" could have (while still not being naive to the extreme nature of these substances as well). Matter of fact I had heard about it first from friends, who described the drug with a tone of absolute horror that you could completely lose any sense of ego or self. This confused me because I honestly can't imagine anything more beautiful than being able to achieve such a feat since really isn't that the end goal of meditation in the first place?
From this point forward I began to look around in search of this elusive substance but the the few connections I had, all and turned up nothing. Instead, I had been fortunate enough to find LSD and although it was far from what I was looking for I also saw it as an opportunity to get a sense of what I could handle mentally. My trip to say the least, was interesting. I feel that by many people's expectations that it would be considered a bad trip since for the duration of the day my entire body had morphed to become covered in tattoos of Mayan or Incan origin and all the walls around me bubbled with the faces of demons. Everything around me was intensely chaotic however, strangely, I had this immensely resolute sense of peace, as if I were resting within the eye of the storm.
While I have had a few more trips since then, none of them as been as impacting or memorable.
Also, as many of the people on this forum do, if not all, I've come to the conclusion that the only dependable way for me to procure the holy grail of psychoactive drugs (and the safest) was to simply make it for myself. It's a big step for me since I do not have any background in this field, but after being very thorough in reading through this forum I feel confident that if I were to have questions (and I'm sure they will be dozens) that I will be in the best of hands here.
