Hello all
I apologize for this not being in essay format, but here is a brief introduction to me. My name is Daniel G., and I hail from the eastern seaboard of the United States. I'm very interested in biochemistry and mankind's relationship with empathogenic substances. This relationship is one that astounds and fascinates me, and I find myself constantly learning something new on my psychedelic sojourn. I'm unspeakably grateful for this community, as nothing but good can come out of such an association of like minded people. I know you all are very warm and caring people, and I look forward to getting to know you all with much anticipation. My most sincere wish is that we all may learn and grow together.
As for myself, I'm a 24 year old biochem major. I work at a call center, helping people talk to providers and Medicare in regards to insurance claims. I find my job very fulfilling, I get an enormous sense of accomplishment from assisting people in acquiring the life-saving medications and services they so desperately need.
I have a lovely girlfriend, I'll refer to her as "K". She is my rock, my source of support when all others have left me stranded. She is my co-pilot on this spiritual journey that we call life. I am unfathomably lucky to have her.
I live a very blessed life. I have wonderful friends and family, a strong network of supporting people who love me unequivocally. I have many animals; dogs, cats, reptiles, amphibians, and fish. Many people who depend on me, who need me to be strong, who I need as well. I'm a very lucky man, and I give my gratitude to whomever or whatever it is due.
I don't have all the answers. That's a hard thing for me to accept, but inevitable all the same. I try to learn and grow and change every day, and some days I progress exceptionally well. The point is that I keep moving forward. I just have to remind myself occasionally to stop and smell the roses. It can be very easy to forget that the true beauty is in the journey, not the destination.
Thank you all for taking the time to read this, and I look forward to exchanging ideas with you all of you.
