I made an account here years ago, I've been lurking on these forums while mildly participating on another similar forum. However, this is my first post here on the nexus.

When i originally made my account here it was psychedelia that was my main hobby. I loved testing and tasting new substances, and seeing what they had to teach me, however over the last few years I've learned you cant spend months on end in psychedelic bliss without eventually burning out hard. Ive learned to appreciate these substances, and i seek to understand them, and hopefully use them apropriately, and sparingly, throughout my life in order to increase my creativity, happiness and well being.

My main interest now is ethnobotany. I plan to transfer to University of Hawaii next year to major in ethnobotany, and i currently have a pretty decent garden starting up here at home. Most of my time on the other boards (Im not sure how you guys feel about mentioning of possible competitors so ill just leave names out.) was spent in the ethnobotanical garden, and thats the main reason i want membership here, so that i can (hopefully) contribute to the stewing pot of plant knowledge that exists within the wonderful garden here on the nexus. :]

Hey cool, another equine type person.

Welcome to the land of the non-lurking!

I can't help much with the ethno-lore personally, but IME this is the right place to find the folks that can!

Welcome Deadhor5! Transfer to Hawaii? Sign me up!

You're right about that psychedelic burnout thing... Exploring the mind can be so compelling that you can get in a little too deep for comfort before realizing it. You're in a good place now, comfortable with entheogens while not feeling the need for extreme dosing or what have you.

Glad to have you here, and we look forward to hearing from you more!
