Wassup y'all,

I just jumped aboard the nexus, this place seems like a wealth of knowledge for atypical subject matters ;)

As conversational as I like to be, I'm a master of the search button, and I generally don't post a lot on any of the forums I join up with. But if I see someone with a question that I know how to answer, I'll be more than happy to assist with an answer!

Outside of the obvious, my interests generally lay in creating music & doing things outside. For my day job I work customer service for a technology company, and sell organic supplements & cleaning supplies outside of that. I'm all about improving the world and investing in the future :)

Anyways, glad to meet everyone! Ask me stuff!

Hello and welcome to the Nexus.

I believe any new adventurer of the Nexus is a "Master of the Search Engine" and they have every right to be. This site is a DMT, among other things, information gold mine. Its like no other forum currently on the internet very professional and mature yet inviting at the same time.

Have you had any psychedelic experience and if so which sacred plants or substances have you had the pleasure of meeting(Using)?

^Totally. I love how this place actually has the vibe of "it's cool to be mature". People can get all deep and serious here without those smelly trolls clogging up the place. lol

I've got some psychedelic experience under my belt. Not a ton, but more than just about everyone I know in real life. I had my first mushroom trip back in 2008, which taught me to leave the past in the past and to always be my own best friend. It was only 3 grams, but wow did it leave an impact on me.

Since then, I've had plenty of experiences with mushrooms, acid and psilacetin, and learned so much that it's hard to keep track of it all, and yet many are so fundamental that I feel like I can communicate them to people just by going about my day-to-day tasks. I haven't tried anything related to nn-DMT yet, however that won't be the case in about a month or so, as I've got some MHRB on the way.

To be honest, I can come up with all sorts of reasons for wanting to try DMT, and most don't actually have to do with the trip itself, rather about all the years after the experience that I'm still living on this planet. If I'm able to get some extra perspective on things, then that'll help me a lot in staying focused towards accomplishing my long-term goals in life.

A good way to keep track of it all is to go out and buy a Journal and write down your experiences the best you can. I found that when you start writing the experience down you retain more and also it can actually, in my experience, reveal more of the experience that you might have forgot in the moment. Also having a note book or something of that fashion to jot down insights and revelations, whatever you wish to call them, in the moment can also help retain them and then after you come down you can look back on the notes you wrote and rewrite them in detail in your Journal. I found this to be very useful and when in the experience don't write full sentences you might not be capable do to the inebriation, usually this happens on high doses of LSD and Psilocybin around 4-5 grams in my experiences. DMT last a short duration and is hard to comprehend your almost completely immobilized so writing things down is next to impossible but DMT can change your whole thought process in just one journey especially if you breakthrough it will change your life. For beginners the best intention, in my opinion, is to just wanting to know the unknown every trip is different and that's what makes it challenging to go again.

Hah, yeah you're totally right - on my main computer (which has a dead motherboard at the moment), I've got some notes jotted down from previous experiences during the 2010-2011 timeframe. I definitely didn't document everything, but what I did write down is really what "stuck", long term. Writing and typing things out really jogs the memory to the point where you can sometimes recall things that you never expected to remember. It's as though we never truly forget anything, rather we just misplace the "recall" button on certain ideas and their thought structures.

You may have some insight into this - for me, the strongest trips have always proven to be the most insightful. I recall a 4.5g mushroom experience under a full moon in the forest completely re-writing my own religious understanding of our universe, it was as though I was only seeing 180° of the circle beforehand. From your perspective, what is it about those high doses that allow such things to catalyze? Does it have anything to do with our mental "filtering" mechanism shutting down while undergoing the experience? I suppose that the filter generally prevents new information from constantly re-wiring us to some degree, but that's not a theory I've explored from the psychedelic domain.

I believe that higher dose journeys resonate more and it's almost like the mushroom spirits are rewarding you for taking the step from moderate to the high dose. I'm a fan of Terence Mckenna and took his advice and I've never strayed due to the results. He says, "take 5 grams on an empty stomach, (usually don't eat anything 6 hours prior to taking the mushrooms), and take them in rarity." So like a month or 2 between journeys and you'll have profound results every time. After my first 5 gram experience I never reduced the amount, always 5g.

Medical research shows that the Psilocybin IUPAC name is 4-PO-DMT or the Psilocin IUPAC name is 4-HO-DMT, that's what it is when broken down in the brain. In my experience high enough doses of mushrooms can be extremely similar to NN-DMT. Here's one of my most profound experiences that led to DMT space. It could be our filtering mechanism shutting down for that is one of the qualities of psychedelics it takes down barriers especially DMT. To have Faith does not mean your religious but it could be the reason for why we act upon our insights and our intuition.

When i take journeys i sit completely still not moving at all this leads to OBE's in my experiences and a little meditation goes along way. I Speculate, depending on sensitivity, Higher doses Lead To Higher Consciousness or understanding because what is consciousness anyway?
