Growing morning glory

Migrated topic.
Hey after a chat in the chatroom I thought id start a thread about growing morning glory. I was wondering who has grew it and would love to hear their experiences and a couple of questions about mines that have just recently sprouted.

I have two in one pot about 2 inches tall, there about an inch apart. Will they be ok like this? They seem to be doing well and have grew quite quickly.

In another small pot I have around 8 tiny shoots, i just put them in to hopefully get something and surprisingly theyve sprouted, another mistake I made, I added a datura stramonium seed because i thought nothing was happening and now its sprouted as well. I doubt id be able to seperate them as their all so close by but any tips on how best to grow them from people would be great, im sure kemist said he grows them, id love your input mate.

Do you get good yields from them?

I also am going to set up a grow room for ethnos and, would putting them under a light help speed the process? Any advice and tips would be great, cheers!

Morning Glories are very rewarding to grow, due to their rapid growth rate and the large seed yields that they can produce if very happy. I know that they really prefer a mesic habitat and enjoy sunny warm areas. Also make sure to water them frequently but do not over water them, their flowers are also really beautiful.

They are creeping plants so if you could placed them near some pillars or any where they could climb up on would be great for the plants. They aren't hard to grow so morning glories are a really nice plant to grow for even beginners wanting to start a entheogen garden.

I wish you much luck Infinite I.

Much Peace and Compassion

I also have a few Morning Glories.

About 15 flying saucers in the garden, 1 heavenly blue in my home and 1 heavenly blue at work. All germinated at the same time. The one at he office is the biggest by far!

I also attached a few pictures.

I too have just planted morning glory and have them sprouting a few inches now. A Couple are showing their first true leaves forming. I'm going to plant a bunch all around my area on fences and parks.

About Datura Strammonium. I'm having a really difficult time germinating the seeds. I've been soaking them in water kept in an incubator at 80+ F for several weeks now and nothing. I change water often as it gets kinda slimy from the seeds coating gell substance. I think they're rotting :( I made tiny small incisions on the seeds too, to help the water get it. And still nothing.
Before that i had 4 seeds in a moist bounty tissue for many weeks with no results. :( whattahell

Which variety of Morning Glorys would be most sought after for entheogenic reasons?
What time of year is best to plant these?

Id love to see more pictures of your plants guys. And any more information at all in fact!

Heavenly Blue is said to be the best xtechre. You can sow them indoors now if you are in the UK, and move them outside when it gets a bit warmer. They are good climbers, so plant them next to a trellis or similar for best results.

I just came into possession of thousands of seeds for free :d going to plant a few of these myself this year!

Well i planted 6 heavenly blue seeds in peat pots (the degradable bury in the ground type pots) on the windowsill.
Its been a few days now and i checked one of them for growth.

I just used a scalpel to pull away some dirt, and exposed a large thick white tap root. So they are well on there way.
How well do you think these will do in pots? I want to have some of these on the top floor of our house out on a window sill... hopefully trailing up the side of the house.

As i said, i planted the seed/lings in peat pots. They degrade in the soil so you can just plant the pots outside. Apparently Morning Glory's don't like to be re potted, thats why i used these things. I thought that was worth mentioning.

Got some Rivea Corymbosa seeds coming too.
Should be nice.

Well they are about 3 inches tall now, and the first leaves have opened up. Should i look to transfer them to larger pots yet?
Just out on interest, how large is the pot for your indoor plant there trav?

I have 5 of the seedlings now, they are in degradable peat pots for easy upgrade.
Ill put some pictures up in a bit, along with the mapacho.

I thought I'd share my growth and development from last year. Photos I've chosen were taken mainly from early summer to late fall. One truly can know this entheogenic/psychedelic vine plant with consistent care and patience. The result was very rewarding and harvest was surprisingly potent! Its seeds will give you life and a fresh perspective. 😉

Enjoy!

Also, if you are able to catch one of photos near the bottom, it shows clearly one vine on the left stretching all the way over to the right vine hanging down, and holding on to it. I hardly ever touched the plant myself except some leaf removal and harvest. True sign of love and intelligence.
