GVG is unbelievably amazing!

I'm wondering... when you say 2mg, do you mean 0,002g ? Because a very commun mistake is to think 2mg=0.02g and it's wrong.

AFAIK, 2mg (=0.002g), even properly vaporised, is under the threshold dose but 20mg (=0.02g) with a GVG is a commun breakthrough dose for some folks (not everybody !).

I'm wondering what scale he is using to measure 2mgs.

I have vaped 5mg more than once. It is such a small amount of vapor and takes only about 1 second to inhale.

My method of measuring and putting the substance in the GVG is by calibrating a mg scale with a opened cap (no top) then just scooping out a little DMT at a time until I throw the cap on the scale and hit the desired dosage. I then dump the cap into the GVG. It works well, but as stated earlier, with the ceramic it's easy to miss.

Here is how I do it:
I put the ceramic filter on my mg scale and first of all measure the weight of the filter so that I can later tell if I actually inhaled everything.
I then scoop some freebase out of it's container with a pair of tweezers and put my desired dosage onto the ceramic filter.
After that, I take the filter off the scale and put it on a steel wool pad which I then heat tangentially with my torch lighter (without letting the flame touch the filter) until the freebase begins to melt into the filter.
At this point I stop heating the steel wool because the remaining heat in the ceramic filter will quickly melt everything that's left.
I can then put the filter into the GVG bowl without having to worry about freebase getting lost.

That's the scale I use it's a Gemini AWS 20 x 0.001g scale. I'm positive it read .002g and the dose didn't look like much of anything out of what I have - few grains of salt. It produced enough vapor to make the pipe non-transparent while inhaling for about 3 seconds then dissipated.

My best guess is it's trapped in the pipe somewhere, how will I make sure the pipe's empty? Should I try hitting it without loading anything until it doesn't hit anymore?

I'm going to take the melting onto the pad first strategy. I'm assuming that since I don't melt the DMT onto the pad before hitting it, the air from the intake before the DMT melts could knock it off the pad and into the pipe.

It's crazy how effective this little device is kind of scary lol.

I made sure the pipe is cleared. I went over to a friends house with about 4 people over.

I weighed 7mg and gave it to this dude there who's done DMT before. Be was totally gone, so gone everyone in the room was terrified. At the beginning he actually started gagging really intense, then his face would lock in really weird and intense expressions his body would lock in odd positions and looked tense. He had a good trip, he said it's the most profound trip he ever had. His description was like something I'd hear of "DMT: The Spirit Molecule" documentary. This is a guy who's done DMT multiple times before he said around 50 if he had to guess. A hour later he loaded 6mg and broke through again, he said it was equally intense.

I gave small doses to everyone else. I eyeballed this but would be surprised if they were above 2-3mg. Grains of sand.
They all tripped hard, strong sub breakthroughs.

I'm gonna take a guess that my scale is off or something. I'm going to post pictures of what a 5mg dose looks like next to a quarter tomorrow . Have you ever seen someone dry heave over and over after smoking DMT?

If your scale is right, it sounds like you got 5meo.
If your scale is wrong (and no 5 meo in your spice) then it looks like a seriously wrong scale :?:

Very cool, i have the exact same scale and it works beautifully.

I am however having a bit of trouble nailing down proper vaping with my GVG. I don't have anyone to show me how, nor do i have anything but the GVG instructions and the (seemingly opposing) advice i've read on here. I'll try to illustrate what i do and maybe a seasoned spicer (haha, seasoned spice) can tell me what i maybe should change or what i am doing terribly wrong.

Initially i went solely by the GVG instructions, which say not to use a jet lighter and to not go directly at the ceramic disk. This much i have pretty much gathered based on what everyone else says to be false. However it seems pretty adamant about not letting the flame touch the ceramic and that even seems to be against the advice on here. What i've been doing is holding the torch directly downward into the bowl, but so i can still see all but the tip of the flame so i know it's not touching the ceramic disk. I also start inhaling very gently and slowly as soon as the flame is applied, which i also believe may be wrong. It may also be the reason i end up with a headache afterward based on another topic. Once it starts getting a bit white with smoke (not much mind you) i give it a good ~5 seconds then stop, hold, and exhale. A decent amount of smoke does come out on the exhale which makes me wonder just how much got absorbed.

On the note of hit size, i have read people talk about proper technique being able to take out a 30mg hit in one go. If i were to do this, wouldn't most of that be wasted on the exhale? Forgive me for being confused on some of this, but i've had a hard time finding decent instructions on how to use this wonderful tool and i'm starting to fear it's me just not getting it.

Have you ever seen someone dry heave over and over after smoking DMT?

One of my friends back in 2009 put quite a large amount of DMT in the pipe (this was before I had mg scales) and was dry heaving quite intensely! He was hunched over with his head between his knees. He was ok after a short while, which was a relief.
