I know, Rogers is not in this one but I just love the end solo in this version too much. It's also the reason why I love the version of this song on "A Delicate Sound OF Thunder" the most.

But to make up for Roger Waters not being in that first vid:

It takes a little while for the audio to start but it's always been one of my favorites. It's the first Floyd song I learned how to play on the guitar.

Happy Pink Floyd Week!!

I LOVE PINK FLOYD!!

This is one of my fav's:

Every single one of their song is a beautiful classic!! i'll leave the other songs for others to post:d

I cherish the Ummagumma live album from 1969:

1. Astronomy Domine
2. Careful with that Axe, Eugene
3. Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun
4. A Saucerful of Secrets (in four parts)

For me, this is the perfect trip music. A full cycle.

Also this one:

I like how they capture the gentle and infinite sadness of human experience, their psychedelic past, the bitter sweet feelings of nostalgia, everything.

Two great vids but the second is way better watch through whole thing.

^ Echoes is awesome. Truly.

I also love the version from the Live in Pompeii video. Hard to go wrong with Floyd though, eh? From Sid's playfulness through the perfection of Dark Side to the melancholy of the Roger stuff... an indispensable catalog for sure.

Was cool seeing Roger Waters play on Jimmy Fallon this week as well.

What's with all the Eeyore posts of "nobody digs this"? Chill man, I saw this thread a week ago, but didn't get a minute to post...I'm sure plenty of people saw/liked the Pink Freud...sometimes there's just enjoyment without the vocalizing of that enjoyment ;)

The Division Bell is far and away my favorite album for smoking DMT. It also strikes me as somewhat anachronistic in that it's arguably one of the most "stereotypical" post-Barrett Pink Floyd sounding albums they put out, imo. It captures the very essence of the sound they were experimenting with throughout their numerous concept albums and experimental as well as commercial successes. Waters isn't on it, but he'd already gone full-blown diva by that time, so it was most likely the way it had to happen. I've seen him live a few times...wish there was an opportunity to see Gilmour.
