I'm about to embark on my first syrian rue extraction, and may use this method!

Couple questions, is the freeze/thaw just for cell lysing, and if so, couldn't it be replaced with grinding the seeds?

Also, not trying to be picky, and maybe i read wrong, am misinformed etc, but wouldn't it be an acetate, not HCl in step 5b?
