Hello everybody, so I have been extracting DMT for about 2 months now. At first I had crap product and crap yield but recently I have been able to steadily attain %2.3 yields on my MHRB extractions.
So anyways, on my latest round of extractions, I decided to take it slow. In total I am extracting about a kilo of powdered MHRB in 6 different large mason jars. I use an improvisation of Cyb's Max Ion Hybrid Tek that we all know in love.
I took Cyb's basic tek and adjusted proportions and such to fit for my extraction of a kilo. Anyways, I prepared my acidified solution(with vinegar) all at once and then I poured it into 6 jars evenly. Same thing for the salt saturated solution and the basic(lye) solution. I did this because it was easier and much faster than doing each 6 times. I split the solutions up evenly. So basically, what I am saying is, Every single one of my 6 jars contains the same amount of bark, and relatively the same amount lye, vinegar, salt, etc.
Anyways, so after 12 hours of basing, I went ahead and did my first pull on my jars. Evaped pulls slight, then placed in freezer, etc. Next morning I had decent yield. Later that day I pulled again. Still great yield. Then I waited approx. 3 days or so. I gave each of my jars a quick motion and then pulled once again. Still yielding well.
This is where it gets wierd. I left my jars to sit for about 5 days this time, shaking once or twice a day. Anyways, when i decided to pull, I go and open up my jars to quite the interesting site. In just TWO of my jars, this is what I see.
A crappy picture here but I am attempting to show that these crystals go up vertically as well.
And this is what my other 4 jars look like.
So my question is, has anybody ever seen this before???? Are these DMT crystals that were very saturated and simply settled out of the naptha over time??? Is this an emulsion of some sort? Are these crystals really lye or something?? The crystals look magnificent. Better than any crystals I have ever gotten out of the freezer. But it worries me, should I avoid sucking these crystals up when I pull? Or should I try to go after them when I pull? Unfortunately they for the most part are lying on top of the black lye mixture.. and this makes it difficult to get to them.
