Hello all, I'm Medio

mediolitro

Esteemed member
Hey everyone! Hope you're all doing well. I've been lurker ever since I got into exploring consciousness ~3 years ago, but never made an account as I felt as though I had nothing to contribute. I still feel that way, but hey maybe I'm wrong :)

I'm a 21 y/o dude from the southwest US, currently in Uni. I'm relatively experienced with conventional psychedelics, and have had my fair share of both enlightening and terrifying trips. Eventually I realized I didn't have the mental/emotional strength to handle and benefit from these experiences, which lead me do developing a spiritual practice that I'm still building upon. After getting myself out of a pretty horrendous rut and finding inner peace, I got back into tripping and finally started benefitting from it. Still have a lot of work to do, and I'm constantly weary of using psychs as spiritual crutches rather than aids, so I'm hoping I can benefit from the collective wisdom here. I'm yet to do DMT and I'm not sure if I'm ready to, but this weekend (if everything goes according to plan), I'll be doing my first extraction. When I'll dose is up in the air, but I feel like nows a good time to start contributing to this community.

Also, I've read about a questionnaire that new members are encouraged to complete, however I can't seem to find it anywhere, so if anyone has that link I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks all!

Welcome to the DMT-Nexus, I hope that this place will help you in your journey.

We recently moved to this new platform where we do not have the questionnaire anymore, we might include something like a course in the future though.

Kind regards,

mediolitro,

Welcome to the Nexus, :D.

I enjoyed your introduction and appreciated both your self determination/empowerment (self extraction) as well as your caution (unsure when ready for consumption).

I do look forward to learning more about you and your journey with or without the spice. I suspect with the attitude evidenced so far you will have plenty to contribute.

Again, a warm welcome to you.

Welcome, Medio. Glad to have you here. I really admire your headspace regarding working with psychedelics, considering how young you are. Most people your age are, generally, more reckless when it comes to things like that. Good on you!

Looking forward to hearing how that extraction went, and for some spicy xtal pics!

Cheers, and enjoy! (y)

Welcome to the Nexus, Mediolitro.

I am very glad you joined, it takes a lot of courage and determination to put yourself out here like this. It is very assuring knowing someone like you feels similarly to how I felt upon joining. I am quite young myself (18 years old) and relatively shy. Rest assured, this community is very welcoming, with very intelligent and wise people to learn from, as you will soon realize.

When doing psychedelics, I also use them for spiritual reasons more-so than doing them for recreation and have also been practicing different types of meditation throughout my daily life which in-turn has made more humble and accepting of inevitable changes that may occur in the future.

Upon joining the Nexus, I learned how to extract DMT myself for the very first time, and the experience with this molecule changed my life drastically in a very positive way. It will take a lot of mental preparation and perhaps extensive meditation upon doing DMT for the first time. I believe all of us have heard many trip reports in many settings from this molecule, possibly knowing what to expect doing it for the first time. All of us know this is not the case. Expect the unexpected to happen. This will be something that you won't be in control of, but do not fear. This is a very extraordinary experience that will change your views and outlook on the concept of life indefinitely. With myself, I was sure I would've been experienced enough to handle DMT with the amount of trips I've had, including LSD, psilocybin, and 2c-b, yet this was not the case at all. It was very different from everything else I'd ever done.

If you have any questions or need help at all with anything, this forum will be more than happy to help and provide you with useful insight to learn from to keep you safe in these environments.

Once again, Welcome

Stay safe!

Welcome @mediolitro
Thanks for sharing your story.

I'd say that at least for me, being a solo flyer, I keep the mg low. 10mg is about all I'm willing to take at this point. It gets me into the waiting room, which is a REALLY REALLY nice room full of love and warmth and peace, and I do get around 10 or so minutes out of it. I think that the major education this group offers that is essential for preparing is for when you are taking the break-through doses. If that's what you want, they will educate you on how to make it out the other side. That is probably the most important thing to prepare for.

Here is my theory, and since I haven't broken through that's all it is. As far as I can tell, it's three LARGE puffs of spice with long holds, that will get you to the real point of no return if you can make it past puff two. Once you are there, even opening your eyes won't allow you to make sure you are still here or alive, so you've committed to the experience. Your consciousness will by all accounts I've read, no longer be attached to your body, and you therefore aren't here anymore (the only perception that is real is what your mind thinks is happening). When you get to that point, you need to let go. Time and space no longer exists, and if you try to hang on especially if it's "scary", it puts a lot of stress on you mentally when there is no 'time' you can track, so you need to keep it in your mind that if you're wanting to get to this point you have to commit to letting go without knowing where you will be. I'm not sure what place you have to be in mentally to get to that point, except possibly 'experience' from breaking through previously.

I'm not there yet. Not even close. To me, letting go is super scary. To others, it's not a problem. I've come to the realization that I may *never* get to that point, and I may never want to. I'm OK with it.

When I first showed up in this group I had never tried psychedelics. I was searching for some answers to life. I was thinking to myself that I really wanted to break-through and suffer ego death I had heard about etc. Since then, I have not only made my own product, but also experienced the effects and for me they are wonderful tools that can take you to a place of feelings you've never experienced. Good feelings, that I use to wonder what they felt like. Love, Peace and Joy, something I have ONLY ever truly experienced FULLY during my few trips, and it was profound, even without a break-through. I also gained a very healthy respect for this thing, based on stories I have come across. I'm glad my first few attempts to break through were befuddled by errors I had made with settings on my mod box. :geek:

I mentioned this because you yourself mentioned "both enlightening and terrifying" trips you have already experienced. DMT is special. It's pretty powerful, so please start small, wait for a while (maybe a week or more) after your first experience to see how you react, and decide how deep you really want to go, and why. This was advice that someone in this group delivered to me, and I'm thankful for it. The experience can change you. The question then for me is "how much, and do I really really want to change?". I haven't answered that yet, so I don't push.

I hope you find what you are looking for here.
