with evolution I was referring to developing your self, so yes mental evolution. In developmental psychology a few psychologists have mapped out the different stages of our development from being an infant to being an adult. There are some advanced stages for example that not everyone reaches - stages beyond the rational stage for example. Trying to evolve ones own mind beyond the current stage and mode of thinking, is kind of what I was referring to, but actually I only threw in that word as one of many to give you some options to choose from

Looks like you got some nice exploring to do.

Some of the questions you pose probably don't have an answer - like "why do these substances exist". Or at least we will never know the answer. It's kind of like the question "why does the universe exist". But that shouldn'T stop you from learning as much as you can about it anyway.
