Yes, some people believe that DMT actually transports them to another dimension. But many people have been believing nonsense for thousands of years. In reality, DMT is a hallucinogen. It causes your brain to act differently than normal. It is not a multi-dimensional transport vehicle. It doesn't give you telepathy, or allow you to fly or give you magic powers of any kind.

I drink vodka, but I don't theorize that it causes the world to shake or increases tectonic activity. It just makes my equilibrium poor.
