I'm a new member that just joined up at the minute. Thought I better announce myself :!:

Going to keep this short since I'm on my mobile.

- primarily a small backyard grower. Lots of lovely plants including some mimosa hostilis and delosperma cooperii. Gunna try my hand at growing some phlebs soon 8) .
- Aussie, in my early 30s.
- surrounded by acacias (as all Aussies are) but hopeless at identifying interesting ones in the wild.
- interested in getting hold of new dmt plants... Especially anything that grows fast enough for me to consider harvesting.
- never done an extraction.... Here to learn.

That's about it. Hoping to become an active member of this forum.

I bet looking at all those acacias is tempting. Imagine if you could extract it all in to one big pile! Then feed it in to the water supply :lol:

extraction is not hard, and for a 30 something year old you should find it easier as I assume with most ppl patience comes with age and maturity?

Just google search your area specifically on here using google like this site: dmt-nexus.me/forum "type your search here without quote marks" and it will show you. Leaves are more sustainable and don't hurt trees, bark pulls less yellow oils but kills the tree.

Thanks for the info daspaismusflo, some of the teks here seem reasonably straight forward but I'll read more widely before attempting a first extraction.

I also need to get my head around how to differente between different acacias before my next bushwalk. Ripping bark of trees seems like a great way to kill 'em so I'll be good and just go for the phylodes :thumb_up:

Yep, I recomend lextek 4 u. Also when you pick, put on some garden gloves and you can just grab the leaves and pull... saves a lot of time. You can take a bit of branch bark too...

You can also harvest the 'twigs' that often surround the nearby undergrowth. :thumb_up:
