What a fantastic site you have here! Such a wealth of information, positivity and communal spirit sharing the lessons you've been experiencing. I feel humbled to see this community in action and hope that in time I can give back as much value as I have received already.
My path here has been long. I lived through the mid-90's wave of experimentation. I was aware of the possibilities and local experiments with acacia but found it too hard to guarantee accuracy of identification and loathed the thought of ring-barking anything. I gravitated towards some experiments with acid but eventually realities of age and custom, time and place had me more focused on changing nappies and Bob the Builder rather than acuminata or floribundas.
Now my life has moved into another cycle and I'm in a place where I can explore more confidently and with a sustainable approach and philosophy. That realisation is extremely exciting and seductive.
