Hello DMTNEXUS

Migrated topic.

trooth seeker

Rising Star
After visiting the forum for a few weeks now, I've decided to join. I have enjoyed many of your stories relating to your experiences with the spirit molecule and am preparing for my 1st journey soon.
Several monthes ago a truth was revealed to me that shattered my entire perception of life and our world. Since that day my search for truth has become an obsession and have
been researching and reading a variety of spiritual information amongst them shamanism.
I feel it is sad that materialistic industrial society is leading us in the pointless direction of creating multiple new problems for every one it may or may not solve. Looking at it from a distance, the insanity is obvious.
It is also sad that what is being explored and discussed in this forum is considered illegal by oppressive, contradictive, ignorant, uncompassionate, evil,(I could go on)GOVERNMENT.
At this point I may be looking for escape as much as further enlightenment. The escapes I attempted in the past failed because I had to take 'me' with me. Maybe I can leave myself behind this time.
Happy Journeys...

Hola trooth seeker,

Welcome to our community!

I can agree with you in regards to the insanity that is observed in this world and the fact people are so oblivious to it. You practically see it everywhere...but within the insanity...there is much beauty and love to behold.
I had to look past the smokescreens and try my best to hold all judgement and then that was when the beauty was revealed to me...small/simple things such as strangers helping strangers, as a new parent the love from a child, random acts of kindness, and the most powerful which is forgiveness of any kind...I gotta admit it is hard to focus on the light when there is so much attention on the dark everywhere you look.
Just like a DMT trip there are things not only here but also in hyperspace that will easily draw your attention from the bigger picture if your not ready.
Any experience with psychedelics in general?

Hi trooth seeker,

Welcome to the nexus and thank you for taking the time to write an introduction. Do you mind elaborating on what truth was revealed to you?

It is sad that at the moment people are afraid to have the responsibility to explore their minds and consciousness and that this is reflected in the laws we live under. I would not go so far as to name the government evil. I believe it is a reflection of our collective consciousness, a reflection of the fact that our values and our system of education are not adequate for the potential we possess concerning available knowledge, technology and consciousness. But I believe that we live in a time of change, and while all change comes with much pain in overcoming the inertia of what is, in order to become something new... we too are experiencing this pain, this resistance, in ourselves and in society around us. Perhaps the desired results will not come soon, but we can all help pull the world in the right direction by the little or big things we do - educating ourselves, educating others, remaining positive and using every oportunity we have to move a step forward.

As for escape... it can only be achieved temporarily and thus will always leave you unsatisfied in the long run. As a general rule it is better to face your problems and learn to deal with them in a constructive way. Sometimes this means letting go - of certain aspects of yourself, things you are hung up on, etc. - and sometimes this means integrating things - fears, repressed emotions, etc., And sometimes it means walking away - from bad situations or people that are being emotional vampires etc.

I think often times these days we become obsessed with finding perfect solutions to whatever problems we have. Perfect and instant. Enlightenment or escape... I think it serves much more to think in terms of improvement: How can I improve my situation; rather than how can I fix it entirely. Small steps that consistently move in the right direction.

Maybe I'm just over-philosohpizing.

In any case I wish you good traveling and I hope you find your truth, whatever that may be! Cheers

Hi trooth seeker,

Welcome to the Nexus.

Can you tell is a bit more about your planned journey? Smoked or oral? Did you extract/brew yourself? How did it go? :D

Yeah, psychedelics and governments (organized religions too) work contrary to each other. The governments and churches really cannot have what the entheogens show because so much of it is about dissolution of boundaries and boundaries are what governments and churches fight tooth and nail (go to war for etc) to maintain. And yeah, it's really sad that this is where the control lies rather than with the individual, with these institutions as safety nets only when needed.

Anyway, lots to see here, so please take a good look around. I look forward to reading about your first journey. Again, a warm welcome to you.

Thankyou all for the welcoming encouragement & insight on my personal perspective. I have much to learn and am glad I found this forum. I haven't used psychedelics in over 30 years and even then very little as a teenager. I just dried my 1st pull out of a STB acacia confusa extraction, and have about 1/4 gram of thick honey colored oil. I need to get some better equipment to get a higher quality product. I plan on smoking it in a glass pipe. Not sure if I should clean the oil up and try to crystalize or smoke as is.
The next extraction will definately be an AB method. I am not in a big hurry to smoke this, I want to be in a good place(attitude wise). Any and all suggestions are much appreciated.

Perhaps you could redissolve this oil in solvent, then add changa herbs and re-evaporate, so that the oil will not have to be handled as is - it will instead ride on the changa . . . Just an idea. There is a whole changa subforum here I believe - well worth checking out.

In my experience pulling with Xylene results in the thick honey colored oil. Put a fan on low setting toward it while you scrape it up and it will harden. My Naphtha pulls result in dry white crystals. I do 4 pulls with Naphtha then switch over to Xylene to get the remaining. Pandora's idea to redissolve for changa is a great way to go, but you can always smoke it off some nice leaf in your glass pipe too. Lotus works wonderful. It's a smooth smoke and what I've been using lately.
