Mind Wanderer
Im a college student fom Galveston Texas, currently studying psychology. For some time now I have been completly facinated by psychedelics and the many realms of conscience that they can open for us. Ive done my share of voyages, but my first full on mind expansion was with lady salvia on the morning after the Man of Burning Man went down. That years theme was rites of passages, and to me that first experience was my right of passage to the world of alternate conscience. For the longest time, mostly after reading The Spirit Molecule I have been aching to experience the breakthrough of all breakthroughs via DMT. For me though Im very cautious about the substances that enter my body, and anything that has I have spent countless hours studying all the ups and downs and in betweens. I have to admit as a younger, more immature kid I had a few times at partys where I took substances without respect and more for recreation. Luckily through all my studys and research I feel like I have gained a much more mature view towards these sacred items. I recently switched my major from art to psychology in the hopes I can make it to the field of transpersonal psychology. Although it is a longshot, I hope and feel that this field could one day bring me to a position where I could do my own research with psychedelics. So much of my daily thoughts go into something towards this goal and I plan to stick with the studies and see where it takes me. Anywho I think what this website is doing is very awesome and I look forward to becoming an active member in you guys community, please dont think im a bad member lol.

Welcome to the Nexus Bdevall158. You're right to be cautious about the substances that enter your body. DMT is physically safe, the whole reason the journey lasts only minutes, is because your body is able to use and break down the substance quickly, as DMT occurs naturally within your body.

You're in the right place, I wish you well with your studies, and I will look forward to reading more posts from you. Do you plan on carrying out any extractions in the near future?

Peace

Welcome to the Nexus!

Transpersonal psychology is certainly interesting... Im not sure if I agree with everything or think that its the best possible model, but its certainly a valuable attempt at uniting and explaining the different levels of human experiences.

Are you considering doing more clinical work? The research idea is interesting, but im not sure if its possible for a psychologist to be the head of a research with psychedelics, because a psychologist cant administer drugs legally... Usually a doctor would need to be there, but the psychologist can certainly be a part of the team. The other option is, as a psychologist, study people who are already taking it legally, like say, going to south america to study people taking it in santo daime, UDV or indigenous rituals.

In any case, whatever you do go for, good luck! dont forget to do something you really like, because thats the only way that long-term you'll be happy.

So you didnt try DMT yet, or did you, im not sure from your intro... If not, any plans on extracting soon, or what about oral use? I think vaporized DMT fascinates people, its normal and I think its great, but I think long term, for self development, oral use is more appropriate. So you have any interest in getting some caapi and taking DMT with it?

Thanks guys I appreciate the welcoming. As far as my studies go im still barely working on my associates, and I admit I am not the most brillant student out there, but I have a ton of exciting ideas for the future its difficult to pinpoint what and where to start first. Who knows, I may decide to change majors yearsfrom now, but for the moment and the last few years almost all my interests flow towards the field of psychology and studying the systems and realms of the phsyical and non psysical. Also since I first took started to take science classes or anything with a small chapter in the text books for psychoactive substances, I have always found my nose glued to the page even if it something Ive read before. Over the years ive gradually dipped my toes in the psychedelic realms with various substances, and each time I come out with a different,(perhaps more mature?) perpective on my confidence with them. Generally I am a very paranoid person, (although I think I do a good coverup job =)) whether it herbs, or especially psychedelics, but each time I take the risk and dive in the deep end
I always seem to come out completly fine and that help me build my confidence to explore futher. As for now im just going to stay persistent with studies and hope for the best. I plan to do many future posts as my adventures chug along so hope you guys dig hearing them =)

PEACE 8)
