Hello, i think i had an hyperspace dream

Never smoked DMT breakthrough dose, but, I had a dream very weird. It was like a DMT experience I think. I was in a room, full of blonde people humanoids. They were with instruments, I was walking the room. Then I was a black guy, I was telling all the time that this happened to me by the karma. Very weird. Also, strange textures of the walls in the "Europa" dream. Very, very, weird... and not like an usual dream.

One time I was sleeping when a plastic sound like scraping the bed sheets was listened to me, then, I was dreaming. I couldn't move when this happened. I listened to music too in this state but no ones were playing.

I think DMT and dreams are very similar or can be. I suggest that the admin must create a dream section because there are similarities between DMT and dreams.

While there isn't a section specifically dedicated to similarities between dreams and DMT states, there are tons of threads discussing the subject. Personally, I have even had a few strange dreams myself that were very similar to the DMT experience posted around the Nexus somewhere. As far as I am aware, they still have not produced any scientific evidence that DMT in the body has anything to do with our dreams though. Interesting subject nonetheless!

Can you elaborate on this? So when you were dreaming already you had the scraping sound or? Genuinely interested.

I have always thought this too, that the DMT space and dreams seem very similar.

A few years back I got very in to lucid dreaming and became quite good at controlling them - in lots of my dreams when I came near water, a tidal wave would form and start coming towards me. For a while it was kind of overwhelming, until I got a better grasp of the lucid state and stood to face the wave. Sometimes I would let it come and I would just stand in that spot and the wave would just pass over me. Other times I would put my hands out and make the wave stop/disintegrate before it got to me.

One time when I took a breakthrough dose and was floating over some grand city in another realm, I remember saying 'this is just like a dream'. Then a couple of entities dissolved the world underneath me and was telling me this is nothing like a dream and showing me that I can't control anything here. As I'm falling one of entities is gliding down the side of a building, staring at me with his giant swirling prismatic eyes and a cheeky smile. The world is ripping apart behind him.
I reach a stop and they are still trying to freak me out. A female presence is felt and tells me not to take any notice of them, as they are just playing with me. Everything becomes a lot calmer.


I still think they are very similar, but think the DMT space is far beyond dream land.

We can control the worlds our dreams take us to, but the worlds DMT take us to, to me, is far beyond our control and comprehension,

When I was younger I did some lucid dreaming for a longer time (like 2 years).

This is why, when I heard of Strassman's idea I completely neglected it, as the head space and vibration is just completely different.
For me clearly normal dreaming has nothing to do with (5-MeO-)DMT.
I rather think the cholinergic drugs go more in this direction, as it is actually known, that this system is mostly the driver for dreaming.

But...

...currently I go for some low dose 5-MeO-DMT every few days. And now since a few days the following is happening:
I wake up in the middle of the night and I am fully in this (5-MeO-)DMT vibration and head space together with mild CEVs (OEVs in the dark) which do have the typical tryptamine geometric pattern. But then it only lasts a short time and vanishes.

I asked myself why this is now happening, and came up with this hypothesis and I am wondering what others do think about this:

As I understand the brain recycles serotonin by taking it again out of the cleft by the reuptake-system and storing the serotonin again in these special storage vesicles.
AFAIR it has been proven in the meantime that (5-MeO-)DMT also can be stored in such vesicles.
Now what if some of the (5-MeO-)DMT after vaping doesn't get destroyed by MAOs, but like serotonin again gets recycled and stored in such vesicles. (at least these are endogenous substances)
You would suddenly have much more stored (5-MeO-)DMT than usually, with the potential to be flooded again any moment.
As Melatonin is quite close to 5-MeO-DMT, maybe when the body wants to flood with Melatonin it also releases these stored psychoactive substances, and you again get this tryptamine vibration.
So this wouldn't happen, if you wouldn't have taken these substances in advance. It only would happen, because they got partly stored from a previous trip.

Could that really be happening? Is this idea completely off?
I don't have any knowledge with this brain stuff, so would be grateful for anyone to chime in.
