indeed dont rush things, you will try it when you are ready...    and if you ever feel like this, if I may suggest, do look into extracting your own, as it is much more rewarding than buying it, if you ever do come across it like this...

btw, you say you havent tried psychedelics.. but did you ever try other substances? cannabis, alcohol, e, anything?   Not that it really matters but sometimes it helps having shared one or other altered state so that certain state-specific words and expressions can be used and communication work on a different level
