Hello DMT Nexus!

Well I've finally gotten around to introducing myself. The name's Mush, Mushmage. Truth seeker, plant lover and Shaman in training. I joined the DMT universe shortly after my 30th birthday. Since then I guess I've had about 30 or so experiences. This compound has given me more than I could ever imagine in the way of insight and healing. To this day I remain as in awe of it as I was after my first experience. In many ways I feel like I have found a new family out there in hyperspace and like so many times before I have found myself astonished at the beauty of the plant world and the teachers that inhabit it. It is true that after experiencing this compound a deep respect for it follows rapidly. DMT seems to be one of those things that speaks to me when it's time, unlike Cannabis which I can smoke copious amounts of without consequence. To be honest I was a little worried whether or not I would be able to maintain self control whilst having easy access to the freebase. However I discovered that this was an irrational fear. Like many others I cannot really find a downside to DMT other than the fact that when you come back to reality it can be a bit like flying economy when you've been in business or first class before. My new passion in this field is Changa and my recent experiences with Caapi and DMT infusions have been remarkable so far. Well that's it for now but thanks for reading and I look forward to all of the knowledge and insight that can be gained here from you all.

Stay safe in hyperspace!

Welcome to the dmt nexus,

How often do you visit hyperspace? I also smoke a lot of cannabis, and I was also worried that I wasn't going to be able to have enough self control not to just blast off every time I felt like it once I had done my first extraction. Just like you I quickly learned that this wasnt something I should worry about. The spice seems to call to me now when I should use it, but I definitely used it more often when I did my first extraction (I used it about 1-2 times a week) now I just wait until I know it's the right time ( its been a few months now since my last journey) I had a couple rough experiences that kinda made me pump the brakes on my exploring for a while, but I knew everything was fine and when the time comes to go back I'll know it.

Lately I've been wanting to, just waiting until it seems perfect.
Any great experience is best if kept in moderation anyway.

Which extraction tek do you like best?

Thank you for the welcome. :) At the moment it is roughly 2 times a week also, occasionally I might dabble further if I get the call. My recent experience with a caapi+dmt changa was amazing and I feel like it's raised my level of vibration. Like yourself I've had a few rough experiences and moments where I was scared and overwhelmed in a negative way, this led to irrational fears and a bit of paranoia about going back for a time. After a bit of analysis it occurred to me that these negative things were due to certain blockages of my own, one of which was that I was too busy doing tek's and learning about the spice that I forgot to keep up with my usual daily juice and healthy vegetarian eating habits. Once I introduced liquid vitamins and lots of juice and raw foods back into my diet, the experiences improved 1000 percent. Considering the brain is the main organ in use during the DMT state it makes sense that it should be operating at peak efficiency to get the most out of the trip into hyperspace. So meditation and lots of healthy food was the cure to my negative trips. That was a good lesson to learn. Amazingly I cancelled my Cable TV service (which i barely used) right when I started my tek's at home. I considered spice a pretty major upgrade from Time Warner Cable.

I started out with the STB, it was the lazy mans tek. I've always enjoyed these sort of projects. I got into growing pot a few years ago and built a grow room in my friends apartment. Those plants were my babies and it was a beautiful thing knowing that the move love I gave them the more amazing the buds would be at harvest time. I love watching the crystals fall out and grow for the same reason. I've been putting messages under my glass container in the freezer, messages like love and gratitude and "enlightenment". It's always a good idea to give them good vibes in my opinion. Now I am on the A/B bandwagon and I follow Vovins tek with a few slight modifications.

I'm unable to obtain Naptha in this state so I'm using Bestine as my solvent. It's very clean and generally all I need to do is one defat instead of 3 and i freeze precip instead of evap and this ensures a really pure product. I'd like to try and Naphtha pull but it might require an out of state drive. I did notice a bit of a difference with the STB spice from the A/B spice, perhaps this is the jungle spice element. Have you given Changa a try yet?

I have yet to try changa but I am very interested. I have been wanting to buy some caapi tincture for a while now but I just haven't gotten around to it. Currently my dmt experience is quite limited, I have only tried straight freebase which I extracted using a slightly modified noman's tek which I always get great results from. I only have approximately 15-20 journeys under my belt with probably only 8-10 very intense (break through) experiences. Like many others I found that straight freebase can be almost too intense, to the point where my brain couldn't process what was going on and I was only able to bring back bits and pieces of what I saw/felt. Very strange feeling. I was told to try a maoi before hand and it would help to sort of make things clearer and give more "meaning" to the trip.

It's been a while since my last extraction, but lately I've been thinking about it a lot and I'm pretty sure I will be doing one quite soon, probably within a month.
This will also be my first growing season (outdoor cannabis) which I hope will be successful. I just got 10 clones from a friend.

I thought I'd update you on my latest Changa efforts. I've been taking baby steps into the world of the caapi and it does indeed produce profound effects. I had been doing an 99% IPA extract of caapi leaves from KT to make a 10x extract. I gave it a swirl and sent it some love every day for a couple of weeks until it was red with a flashlight. I then filtered and evaporated the caapi ipa with more caapi leaves and let it dry for days. In the meantime I had made really quick changa with straight caapi leaves and dmt (no extracted caapi). I wasn't expecting too much in the way of an effect from the caapi, boy was I wrong. It was pretty intense, especially in the body. It was a lovely experience and much more earthy, more like mushrooms I guess. My Persian rug was electric and alive and towards the end of the experience I met a guide and we spent a few minutes conversing about consciousness. It was a blast. :)

My next attempt a couple of days later wasn't so good. I smoked what I thought less but straight away the body rush felt wrong. It actually distressed me for a moment because I felt my heart racing faster than I've ever felt before. My thoughts started to go a bit dark and I went through a quick stage of panic, which obviously didn't help matters at all. I reminded myself to stay calm and to slow my breathing. I kept telling myself that it would be okay and that my heart would slow down and it did. Because of all this stress and I think probably adrenaline, I wasn't really able to pay attention to the journey at all. After my heart rate subsided and I calmed down I had a lovely feeling of connectedness and clarity which was comforting.

So now in the analysis I've been trying to figure out what caused this strong reaction to the Caapi when it wasn't even an extract. I need to figure it out before I try the 10x extract because I don't want to die. :) I suspect diet may have played a role. I had a cup of coffee in the morning (I only ever have one a day) and a little bit of cheese on eggs for breakfast. I think I can rule these two things out because they were consumed at least 10 hours beforehand, although it's possible they may have played a role. Then it dawned on me. I went to a gourmet burger place for dinner and I had a veggie burger. Thinking back to the menu I remembered that it was made of legumes, chickpeas and soy products. There was also cheese on the truffle fries. This meal was consumed a few hours before smoking the caapi and I'm fairly certain that it was the cause. The only other possibility is that a tiny little bit of Salvia may have found its way into the cone piece by accident. Does anyone know whether Salvia and Caapi have a bad interaction?

Next time I'm going to be less impulsive and plan ahead a week and adhere to a strict diet of no cheese, coffee or legumes along with the other foods suggested to avoid, to see if that makes a difference. I read somewhere that a multi-vitamin should also be avoided. Does anybody have any further info on this? I take a liquid multi every day along with 10,000 IU of vitamin D.

I guess I'm sharing this because my own physical reaction and experience with smoked caapi has been both beautiful and pretty scary and if you do give it a go, I highly suggest you pay close attention to diet.

Peace

Mush
