Welcome to the Nexus.  I really really enjoyed the time I spent with you in chat last night.  Very impressed.  And though my promotion vote is low-value, I'm ready to make it right now for you. 

I think Nexus could learn a lot from a person of your interests and background and I certainly hope we can offer something of interest to you.

Please do take a good look around this HUGE place, endless sub-fora, invaluable links above, etc.  I believe there's at least one recipes thread - when you get promoted you may want to add some vegan goodies to that.  Who knows.  Maybe you'll get involved with the plant research side of things.  Maybe you'll just post a few reports and comments.  However you choose to participate, it is a good thing.

I am very happy that you joined and hope that you will stay and participate.  Come back to chat if you have some free time sometime soon and we'll try to make you feel at home.
