hello,
Introduction essay;;
Took 150 liberty caps last year and was most profound experience of my life communicated with a female something.
Been reading about Ayahuaska for ages, going to south America this year to travel and do a Ayahuaska retreat. Probably would do it in Peru, or Brazil if they had good retreats and shamans.
Been looking at Ayahuskafoundation.com but was wondering if anyone had any recommendations of retreats or guidance on which ones have best shamans, best brew etc, i heard Ron Weelock makes a potent potion...
Also I hear so many contrasting opinions about vaccinations. One cuarandero says anti-malaria stuff mixes bad with the brew but many people say its a big risk to not get protected!?!
Please help me out here:
1. What to do about vaccinations.
2. Which retreat to go to.

Olympus Mon and Antrocles both have considerable experience in this field... You can read about it in Quality Experience Reports.

If I were you and I had a bit of time, I would not travel to south america just for the retreat, but rather travel to south america, and have retreat/ayahuasca/other ceremonies as an addition. There's so many different places to see and people to meet. You can have a more certain retreat to guarantee some good ayahuasca taking, but also travel around and see if you maybe can get to meet some less known local curandero/shaman/group and have a different experience. Also there's san pedro-related shamanism in the andes which might be interesting (Ive got no experience with that). And appart from that just travelling around south america regardless of entheogens is a great experience, and can be as much of an important experience as the ayahuasca.

Appart from checking the experience reports mentioned above by Oly and Antrocles in the quality experiences report subforum, here's a couple of links that might be of your interest:
