Arvind
Hey everyone,

This is Arvind from Los Angeles. I guess i've been lurking a bit on this forum for a while and have found the people to be really smart and mature. I guess I'm ready to call it home :=)

As far as my status is in the real world, I just graduated from college with a masters, and about to embark on my career from february. I guess this is a pivotal moment in my life, but somehow I have never been drawn by money or status or any of the standards society has set for us to achieve. Every since I was a child, I have been an enquirer, and would constantly trouble my parents with questions about life, etc. until they got fed up and just said "God created everything, now no more questions". Not surprisingly, I was not satisfied with it and in a way still continue searching. This search has led onto psychedelics, and I believe these chemicals are some sort of gateway to understanding ourselves and the outside world better.

SWIM has had quite a few ego-death/breakthrough experiences with salvia, spice and cannabis, but has never met many people who shared his interests in psychedelics(most of SWIM's friends tend to do the more "fun drugs"). I am quite grateful in finding this community where I can share a part of my life which I love but sadly cannot really share with in the real world.

Well welcome to the Nexus vetiarvind! Looking at your essay sorta reminds SWIM of how SWIM became interested in psychedelics and other ethnobotanicals. :D :p

Yeah welcome home Arvind!

Congratulations on achieving your masters. I think most people are content to pursue & enjoy the toys of life. It must be lovely for them to be so certain of the 'rules of the game'- especially if they happen to be rather good at all that.

All good fun but to settle for that is such a waste isn't it. How could you not wonder just what the hell is going on here? At the moment of death those profound questions will be in our faces after all. I can't say that I've found any answers here. But I've certainly become more aware of some inconvenient questions. This community has been a great source of information and strength to me in my search as I'm sure it will be in your own.

Once again, welcome- and good luck in your search :)
