Rising Star
From the far north I'll extend greetings to all of you and I hope I can get to know, help and be helped in this community.
I guess I'll start with a bit of past history, I won't do a huge list but I've tried a lot of the stranger and more exotic plants out there, and am a regular user of cannabis, mostly to control my rapid mood cycling as a result of cyclothymia, which it does very well. I've always been interested in trying new things, although from the very moment I heard of DMT I could tell that it was something altogether different than any other 'drugs'.
So an STB with 250g of mhrb was performed with freeze precipitation, to much amazement pure white crystals were formed the first time (hint, when you separate your NP put it into one container first then transfer to another, the traces of mhrb goo will stick to the glass of your first container and won't carry over).
To be honest, with that first gram of DMT acquired, I probably did smoke it all too rapidly, it was finished in a week, with dosing pretty much every day. This was partially due to experimentation to find just the right way to smoke it, and partially because I saw no reason not to. These first experiences nevertheless were absolutely revolutionary and mind expanding for me, and although I have since let many of the details slip my mind they will always stay with me.
As I've mentioned earlier, I am affected by cyclothymia, and after ceasing smoking DMT I definitely noticed a change; my cycles were shorter, more defined and sudden. Seeing this change I decided to slow down a lot on using DMT, although the change is reasonably benign I did not want to play with fire. Since then my DMT usage has been, maybe at the shortest interval once a month, though often more time goes past in between. Even at these longer intervals, I can feel an effect on me lasting a couple weeks, but imho, as long as I have carried out the dmt experience in the correct manner it is totally worth it for the outsights gained.
I have always been in awe of nature, but coming down off dmt walking around a beautiful lochside caledonian forest has to be one of my most amazing experiences.
I've only met the elves a mere handful of times, but when I have it's immediately apparent who they are and what they stand for, pure, unconditional spirit information vessels of life.
On this side of my life, one of the things I enjoy the most is natural wild places, camping out for days at a time sustaining yourself only with what you can carry on your back and what you can gather from the wild.
In the city it is easy to go for years at a time without socially interacting with anybody or anything, of course you and I can and do, but in the wild you are never alone, whether accompanied by animals, plants, forests, mountains, anything, these spirits enjoy your company and will teach you through difficult journeys, and in this I see many parallels in the DMT experience.

Welcome Hummus.
Thanks for your nice intro and sharing some of your experiences thus far.
As a fellow city dweller I can relate to some of what you say and also love forests/trees and nature in general.
Enjoy your stay and look forward to seeing you around the boards.

Welcome, hummus, thanks for posting this open and honest introduction.

That's a wonderful insight. Thank you for sharing it.
