So, after perusing the Nexus, which I love, I want to extract some MAOI from Caapi using this TEK. Even after reading the discussions on the Nexus I am still unsure how to proceed for dosing. I'm thinking of ingesting the MAOI extraction prior to smoking DMT but how much MAOI, what route, and how soon before smoking DMT do I take? Any suggestions or experience?

I'm 5'10, 225lbs, very healthy (constant weights, racquetball) and eat fairly well.

I have read of dosing the MAOI sublingually, smoking, and eating.

Another thought: What would one think of making changa using powdered Caapi vine infused into Caapi leaf and then infusing equal parts vine-infused leaf : DMT? Or would that be the same as infusing the MAOI extraction from the aforementioned TEK into Caapi leaf and then make Changa with that and the DMT? :?:

One more thought: I'm looking into starting an MAO-free diet, if possible. More research is needed on my part for that; I don't even know if that is possible. DMT is starting to become a lifestyle!:d

This is what I found from googling; the asterisk indicates "safe in limited amounts".

(Tyramine-containing foods)

From my research MAOI interact with tyramine-containing foods to induce a hypertensive crisis. The human body can process endogenous tyramine but not exogenous, or outside sources of tyramine while being dosed with MAOI.

This is from the Journal of Clinical Psychiatry. 1996 Mar;57(3):99-104. The making of a user friendly MAOI diet:

"We recommend that users avoid aged cheese; aged or cured meats (e.g., air-dried sausage); any potentially spoiled meat, poultry, or fish; broad (fava) bean pods; Marmite concentrated yeast extract; sauerkraut; soy sauce and soy bean condiments; and tap beer. Wine and domestic bottled or canned beer are considered safe when consumed in moderation. Other foods not mentioned are considered unrestricted."

Regarding dosage, check this thread out

If its for potentiating smoked DMT, then just ingest the harmalas whichever way you decide (for example sublingual or oral) and smoke the DMT when you start feeling the effects of harmalas, which may be anywhere between 10-30mins

As for MAOI diet, check the FAQ, its not really necessary for harmalas (except for contra-indicated pharmaceuticals/drugs which are still dangerous).

and the changa questions, I think its bad idea to use caapi vine. Smoking vine tastes bad, and doing an acetone/IPA soak as people do is a very inneficient way of extracting harmalas, people are losing a lot of actives that way. I suggest using caapi leaves and if you want extra harmala, extract it as a normal A/B (like the link you posted) and then add the extracted harmalas to the changa.
