Help with moderate to severe pain.

Migrated topic.

I was recently diagnosed with a stomach ulcer, and my doctor gave me protonix and said that the ulcer should heal up on its own. Since about two weeks ago, the pain has been getting progressively worse. Right now, it is severe to moderate constant sharp pain in my stomach. I have gotten out of shape because too much physical activity amplifies the pain. I am moving away to university soon, and would like to find something that would help me with the pain for a few weeks until the ulcer starts to heal up.

Can anyone suggest some herb(s) that are good for moderate pain.

I do not like advil as it is poison to the liver, and does not help, even in higher doses. And tylenol is the same. I recently quit smoking cannabis, and would like to stay off of it. As for poppy, I would prefer to stay away from the opiates also.

If you have any suggestions or advice, please share.

Also, is it safe to use ayahuasca if diagnosed with ulcers?

Much thanks,

I understand this forum is primarily for those who want to use ayahuasca and dmt for healing, sorry If I posted in the wrong section.

Make sure to eat hot peppers to help heal the ulcer(s) and try plain leaf kratom. Even if you do get addicted, withdrawals are mild.

Good luck dude.

No I did not has Endoscopy, the GI specialist originally recommended me to, but after my blood work came out he told me that I had ulcers. I originally thought it was some other stomach issue.

In both December, march, and June, I had very bad leg infections, and went through several bottles of Doxicyclin and various penacillimines. Afterwords, I had a lot of stomach problems. My regular physician told me that the antibiotics had killed the pro biotics in my stomach that were used for digestion.

I have been on the probiotics for a month, and have noticed considerable change in my stomach issues BESIDES the sharp pain on the left side of my stomach. My GI specialest says there are no organs in that area, and that he is confident that I have an ulcer there.

Several family members in the Medical field tell me that there is no need for an endoscopy, and so does my GI doctor. He says unless I notice blood in my stool then their is really not much he can do besides letting it heal on its own, (with the aid of protonix)

This is just another random thing to consider, but...

I developed acute colitis after being given some horrendous antibiotics once (along with a million other problems ~.~ ), but one of the things I found that really helped bring my digestion back to normal was the combination of a probiotics supplement and tons, tons, tons, tons, tons of fresh, raw, dark, leafy greens. Greens are apparently good for bringing stomach health back into balance, and they're also dense with awesome nutrition, so if you haven't been able to absorb properly (due to antibiotics), tons of greens are an awesome thing to have.

I was so depleted, I mowed through banquet-sized salads in GIANT stainless steel mixing bowls every day... and it felt SO good.

Much love and healing. :)

(Again, I'm not a doctor, just speaking from experience and slightly biased toward the plant kingdom. :p )

Mmmmm.

Blood tests are not capable of diagnosing a stomach ulcer but can prove an infection with Helicobacter Pylori exists which can be associated with peptic ulceration or they can reveal complications such as anemia..Peptic ulceration is a term which covers both gastric (ie in the stomach) and duodenal ulcers but the distinction is more than just an academic one.H pylori is more strongly associated with duodenal ulceration and an ulcer here is less of an issue as they very rarely are cancerous ie malignant.Gastric ulcers, on the other hand ,are more commonly associated with malignancy and to prove where a petic ulcer lies does require an endoscopy. If the ulcer is gastric it is also advisable to repeat the endoscopy after 6 or so weeks to ensure its healing and not nasty.

If you have an ulcer in either location and if its bleeding you are more likely to get black stools rather than fresh red blood-unless of course the ulcer is bleeding torrentially in which case you will know about it.

You can also have symptoms very similar to a peptic ulcer if the stomach or duodenum is inflamed due to the HCl in your stomach (gastritis and duodenitis) without an ulcer actually being present. If your symptoms persist I would advise a gastroscopy.

alright sounds good. Protonix has also put a hold on ayahuasca used for a month or so ;( its not safe with maoi apparently

If your doctor gave you some medicine but you're feeling worse, shouldn't you go back to the doctor and tell him about it?

I called him a few days ago about it, he said to just coninue taking the protonix. My other family members in the medical field agreed that I should see the protonix through. He wanted me to take it for about 5 or 6 weeks and it has already been a few weeks. To my understanding the protonix keeps the acid levels low so that it does not irritate my ulcer?

Yep, thats the theory.Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor and pretty much quells the HCl production in the stomach allowing any inflamed areas/ulcers to heal.Is it helping your symptoms yet?

Other things to avoid to let your belly settle down: booze, fags, anti-inflammatory meds like aspirin/brufen etc.

Yeah I smoke A lot of shisha, guess I should give that a rest too. I'm not sure if its helping my symptoms. I felt like the pain was getting worse but I still have a few more weeks of treatment. Today the pain is not as bad as the previous days. Maybe the condition is improving. Usually I feel the most pain in the mornings when I wake up, and at around 6pm till whenever I go to sleep.

MMS (sodiumchlorit)

Aelqumin LO Pure

I'm not sure about this, I'm not a doctor nor do i have any medical knowledge.
I recommand reading about alternative treatments!
