SWIM has followed A/B Marsofold extract to the bone his first time the easiest of them all and failed terribly like we all Either have or will. Don't give up though there may be an extraction Tek that fits hand like glove, but SWIM would like suggest to anyone new out there just testing the waters following his simple step by step straight to base (STB) tek with the much needed information. This reads more like a cooking recipe more than a proffesional MIT graduate class's yawn through chemistry, but nonetheless as it involves chemicals I ask you to be a scientist today! Meaning A.) Safety wear safety goggles,gloves, eye protection and even a small dust mask as you may be working with potentially dangerous stuff. and B.) Record your measurements at all times to verify which amount of Naphtha for instance pulls the most of the DMT alkaloids. Now before you get started make sure you have the following...
Protective goggles
Dustmask
funnel
coffe filters
Mason jar(s)
Glass Turkey baster or pipet
1 (2) gallon glass jug
evap dish
ceram wrap
Blender
spoon
*Key for locations H = Hard ware store, W= Grocery store/Walmart I = Internet
Salt- *W*
Epsom salt- *W*
Distilled* water- *W*
Sodium hydroxide- *H & I* (red devil* lye/caustic soda which must be in pure crystal form)
Sodium Carbonate- *W* ((all natrual arm and hammer washing detergent additive) but if you cant find it at walmart than bake sodium bicarbonate on high in the oven for a few hours evaporating the carbon dioxide)
Naphtha- *H & I* (VMP only)
Heptane- *I* (bestine- a few ounces goes along way, but you can find it online and it is not too expensive, but nescessay to remove plastic gagging smoke due to reisdue lye)
0.) Before ordering your Mimosa hostilis Root Bark or MHRB make sure you pick the right vendor click here for more information.
1.) Break mimosa root bark into small pieces with a hammer or something that wont accidentally chop a finger off, than powder it using a grinder or blender. Hold MHRB aside for a moment.
2.) Premix distilled water in 1 (2) gallon glass jar accordingly. With every 12 ml of water per 10 gram of MHRB. But lets just say for every 100 grams go ahead and add 1.2 Litres just to be sure. Pour measured water into jar.
3.) Warning wear safety gloves, goggles, dust mask when using caustic soda at ALL times... Add Sodium Hydroxide/Lye to water slowly (as it does get hot) following measurements accordingly adding 1 gram of lye per each 1 gram of MHRB that will be added in step four. Mix until now Basic water is clear. Do not breath near open jar during the time.
4.) Add MHRB slowly while mixing with spoon. You should not have syrupy, meaning either further mixing is required. I personally use an electric cake beater for all mixng. You will notice everything turns black.
5.) Now that your DMT is in freebase form you will want to dash 30 grams or so of salt into your mix. Making your DMT less soluable in water giving it the propensity to float at the top where it will be 'pulled' by the non-polar (meaning hydrophobic) solvent, Naphtha. This also insures that emulsions (bubbles) will recede quicker.
6.) Common knowledge is that every 100 to 200 ml of Naphtha will pull a single gram at tops. But to be on the safe pour (anywhere from 10 to 16 ounces) of naphtha into a mason jar keeping a lid over it while you boil a pot of water equal to to mason jar. Once boiling heat up Naphtha in mason jar using the pot taken off the stove as a hot bath garunteeing extraction efficacy. Once hot pour the Naphtha into Gallon jar containg freebase DMT.
7.) Mix well, by means of shaking, or as SWIM just turns the Cake beater on high simply enough. Mix good at least 5 or 7 times. Than using a turkey baster siphon off the naphtha (on the top layer) making sure to absolutely not siphon any 'dark stuff' along with it and store impure Naphatha waiting in a jar for step # 9.
8.) is a repeat of steps 6 and 7. About three - five times should be good enough. All quite depending on how much MHRB you're using for this tek.
9.) With your combined 3 to 5 pulls, your naphtha may look yellow or off whiteish, which is okay. Actually it's good meaning you've managed to stir it well enough that DMT is sure to be in there, but along the while you may have managed to pull some lipids, oils, tannins and fats not to mention ugh... Lye :? along with it. For step 9 we are going to clean all that garbadge away using a Sodium carbonate 'wash' cleaning away such inapplicable waste.
First mixing 2 - 3 grams in a pint (16 ounces) of cold water. and pouring the sodium carbonated water into the naphtha with sodium Carb solution as 1:5 the ratio compared to naphtha. Mix a little, and watch the bottom layer turn colors as it pulls the base fats undertow. Collect the top layer quickly to insure the dmt fall down underneath as it will over time. Discard the sodium carbonate solution. Your DMT is now much much more clean. This sodium carbonate wash is nessecary so you don't have to waste your DMT cleaning it with Ammonia. Yuck! :surprised
10.) Taking your squeekly clean DMT in your naptha naphtha putting it aside for a moment with a lid on tight. DMT has a tendancy to turn mushy in mild heat, sometimes as room temperature, because DMT is not always that dry. SO take one small sized glass plate and pour about 5 -10 grams of epsom salt into a pile and put the plate into the microwave for 5.5 minutes. This will dry it, good. Blend your dried up epsom salt in grinder or what have you and then pour immediately into naphtha in which it serves as a water binding agent. Mixing it around a little. Now take out two coffee filters and place through funnel hanging on another jar, through which you will begin to pour the salt saturated Naphtha through collecting any rememants along the way. Your jar should have no more salt.
11.) Your DMT is finally ready to precipitate (fall down), so pour naphtha in several small jars or evaporating dish in small amounts each. Now only if your amount of naphtha is too large evaporate 50% (not too much or it gets oily) somewhere outside if you can preferably with a fan blowing over it. As DMT precipitates much better in smaller amounts. Mean while keeping it all covered. Now Depending on the maximum space of your freezer and your fridge. Place jars/dish into fridge for four hours, and than place in freezer four hours at a time each. Keep in freezer for the most part all and all tiny white crystals WILL appear, but give it about 3 days at a two day minimum for DMT to precipitate.
Meanwhile you can relax a while and read a book with your eye on the clock. May I reccomend Daniel Pinchbecks- 'Breaking Open The Head' or if you're totally new to DMT and you want clinical evidence of DMT's acclaimed power I suggest Rick Strassman ph.d 's, DMT The Spirit Molecule or I personally prefer John Michell 's How The World was Made Using Sacred Geometry
12.) It's havest time :d . time to see how well your DMT has formed, even the tiniest crystaline lattice can be so transfixing as all your hard work comes to some kind of conclusion! Pour the Naphtha through a filter, keep whatever it catches and safely discard the Naphtha not down the drain for sure. Let it to wait in the open air as the naphtha evaporates. Than so long as you don't smell ANY solvent being scraping up your DMT while making sure you leave behind all the yellow or ocherish fats.
13.) Now it's time to recrystalize, you may do so heating up Naphtha using the hot bath method as we learned and dissolving your DMT to precipitate again in your freezer. Most people find the results to unsaitisfying to recrystallize in Naphtha compared to Heptane * Bestine. but you don't need more than 50 ml per gram of DMT. So for the simple sake of purity meaning no lye, no oils, no nothing but, DMT. Heptane will be make a prime example of DMT is in purest and most beautiful of form. Performing the hot bath trick. You will soon watch as impurities just plummet to the bottom in a pile of goo. Siphon everything but that. Throw the goo away, but work quickly with your Heptane and precipitate once again. but now Your DMT should precipitate on the sides white as snow. Yellow stuff 'might' be left at the bottom, but not much. Now you may have whopping crystals compared to the first time. All with a little help. Let evaporate, scrape or should I say pick?
You now have pure DMT :thumb_up:
Further smoking applications of DMT read, that you can buy a simple hand held vaporizer in under a few dollars. Add for your first time 30 to 60 mg holding a butane torch to the bottom while spinning the flame indirectly beneath when one sees the vapor whisp arond the glass pocket one should inhale thouroughly as if taking a good breath of air enough for your chest to expand wide, Visions will be encountered... Now.
