Hey there

Hello, @Dreynygyn,

Welcome to the Nexus! It's always fantastic to have someone that grows their own entheogens join our community, as your input and experience will undoubtedly benefit everyone interested in having their own magical garden and practicing sustainable harvesting.

What's your experience with psychedelics? What's the most important and profound lesson you have learned from working with them?

Looking forward to knowing more about you! Enjoy the forum!

With love,
Nydex

Hi there Nydex, thanks so much for the warm greeting. I'm very happy talking about my plants. My favorite thing to grow is Salvia divinorum (which is legal where I live). She's been especially bountiful for me, and I'm currently playing around with making my own tinctures and enhanced leaf. I also have experience growing psilocybin mushrooms, and I recently started my first cannabis plants.

I have a background in druidry and ceremonial magic and I tend to see things with a spiritual eye. My plant allies and magic tradition have taught me a lot (some might be interesting to other members in the trip report forum, I might post them soon), but I still struggle with some lessons so I definitely have a long way to go. Off the top of my head, I think the most important thing I've learned is something I was told in a dream following a salvia ceremony. I was on my back, made of light, attended to by several beings. One told me a number of things concerning the nature of psychedelics. They were all important, but I only remember one message: "There are no good or bad trips." I think every experience has something to teach us, even if it's uncomfortable.

I practice organic cultivation methods with a strong emphasis on DIY, recycling, and acting within the ecosystem instead of apart from it. I hope that the practices, knowledge, and insights I've gained from this area will be a meaningful contribution to the forum.
