Hi DMT-Nexus Community!

DimensionalExpat

Esteemed member
Hello everyone,

Signed up a while ago but it's my first post.

I'm fascinated by psychedelics and their potential to help understanding the consciousness and beyond. I'm especially interested in ayahuasca, DMT and harmala alkaloids!

DMT-Nexus is a great community with integrity and I really find answers to some of my (scientific) questions here. Sometimes more helpful than sources like PubMed -thanks to psychonauts and dedicated people here.

Great to be here, lots of love.

Thank you @Nydex @premeditated and @Pandora for your great and warm welcoming messages. I got lost in another dimension, sorry for not replying. So happy to be here. And yes, this community is a golden place, for everyone. About me? I have always been fascinated by psychedelics, ever since I was a kid and didn't know what they were. From the books, the music, the movies... I always wondered. Then of course time passed. I experienced many of the classical psychedelics. But due to some health issues, unfortunately I cannot continue my experiences, which is very sad but I accepted that. Now, I enjoy and continue to dig into everything about the science, the culture, the art (especially the music) :) I respect the knowledge of plants, which can offer lots of things to humanity, both to expand the consciousness, heal our thoughts and awareness... And aid for physical and mental health. It's sad that all of the scientific community is "obsessed" about the effects on depression, PTSD and mystical experience stuff. I mean, surely you would get "mystical experience" kind of stuff, you don't need thousands of dollars to prove that haha! I also acknowledge the need for mental health research with psychedelics as the modern mental health mostly fails everyone. However, we are far from understanding even what those molecules are and how they actually work but that kind of research is underpaid. So the world relies on psychonauts, as always ^^

That's unfortunate, but I'm glad you had the opportunity to take them. Does it apply to serotonergic psychedelics, or to everything that has that type of strong mental effect (only if you're comfortable talking about that)?

Thanks for your kindness. Yes it mostly applies to serotonergic psychedelics, but also to stimulants. Especially, I realized even a bit of alcohol feels very bad lately (both on my body and my mind), so sometimes I drink only very small amounts in social situations. My only to-go stuff is very rarely some weed. But I'm trying to be very cautious with that as well. Maybe that's not wise but it feels that I don't want to disconnect from plants completely. I think it's also related to age, so your enzymes betray you :) Glad that I had all the experience before.

Hm, alcohol is outright toxic, I feel that more than ever as I progress onwards in my sixth decade. I'm glad to have been turned on to harmalas, tbh. If medications and/or other aspects of health don't dictate otherwise, that may be a direction where you could continue exploring. But only if it's right for you.
