Hi there and welcome!

There are several acacia species in South Africa, although none of them are particularly potent. Succulents of the genus Delosperma have among them several species which produce DMT as well as other tryptamine derivatives. The psychoactive indole derivative mesembrine and its congeners are rather typical of this genus and the family Mesembryanthaceae. These substances have more of a euphoriant/empathogen/antidepressant action rather than the psychedelic effects of DMT, although mesembrenoids and tryptamines have been found to co-occur in a few species. [More on that in the Delosperma thread, soon.]
