Hi..glad to of found this forum, it's great to have so much knowledge to hand šŸ™

Hi.
Just introducing myself. I'm UK based. I've been using what I refer to as the "magic pipe" for just under a year now. So still fairly new to it. I'm not new to psychedelics though, however in my earlier days it was more of a party / social thing and nothing like how I view the experiences now. I do wonder if the reason why I became so open or awake is due to my earlier experiences in life with such substances and ways of thinking??

I'm very open to discuss DMT with others and have nothing to hide about it but also it's a very personal thing for me also I feel. I use for meditation and also as a sort of medicine I suppose, I say that due to the clarity i feel for quite some time after and almost like the instructions and discipline I receive from doing so. Without going down to many rabbit holes šŸ˜‚.

I've read a few books both on psychedelics and shamanism / power animals etc..i do feel as if I've entered into a part of life where I'm meant to be and I'm realising that certain people I come across I was supposed to of come across.
A thing I did come across last year was this strange feeling that I'd never felt before, it was in-between sessions, (which is usually once every 2-3 weeks give or take) I was out on a walk and almost all of a sudden I had this massive fear/panic come over me. So much so that I didn't think I was going to make it back from that feeling and this carried off and on for about a week or so but obviously became easier to deal with. I have never suffered with any sort of mental illness, I'm 37 now and I used to drink and take recreational drugs quite a lot up to the age of 35 I'd say. I would just like to ask, is this something that anybody else has experienced?is it a known side affect that I wasn't aware off? As I said I've had some pretty rough times after long weekends but I never had anything like that. Also at the time I was working quite a lot but nothing out of the ordinary..
I've not had it so bad since but it's made me aware that it is there and I feel like if I use to much it will come back to remind me "go easy young man. There is no rush in forever." Or something wise along those lines.

Anyway..it's nice to have found a decent place of information and experience to read through but I'd thought I would introduce myself rather than just siting back observing.

Many happy journeys āœŒļø

Hey daroonvoom.

Glad to have you here.

Go easy and no rush is wise advice. Sometimes just stopping and enjoying the silence can be thing one needs to snap out of a negative frame of thought. Good time to check in with yourself. Get all the vitals. Integrate.

Why do you think you had this massive fear/panic? Do you feel your psychedelic usage contributed to this in regards to side effects?

Everyone experiences dread, panic or fear in life. Most of the time these feeling are rational, being that there is a good reason for them, such as being in danger in some form.

Is it irrational? No real danger but the body reacts the same. Triggered fight or flight response over what feels like nothing at all? Take some time to investigate possible reasons why you might be feeling that way. It is likely a large combination of things in your life that are causing these feelings. Sometimes it can just feel like the weight of world is on your shoulders. Perfectly normal if this happens infrequently, stress can just build up sometimes. Hopefully just a fleeting occurrence.

Your meditation practice will certainly help ground you and find center. Breathe deep and slow if it ever happens again. Stay hydrated. Eat Bananas and dark chocolate. Smell a lemon.

Take care of yourself.

Thanks Tripolation,

Sound advice that is.

Yes I was leading toward it being my DMT intake.

But as you say, I had alot of change and many things going on but my instant response was to think that those things wouldn't play a part in such a powerful reaction. So my first thought was that it was caused by something else, but I'm starting to realize how actually that something else may of just been making me aware of other things that were unhealthy and negative perhaps. (Like a medicine) I even typed it in my post.

Well I did come here seeking knowledge of some form. Maybe later down the line it might help somebody else as other threads have for me.

Many thanks šŸ™
