Hello my husband just talked me into joining this forum and I’m glad he did. Always happy to share interesting conversation with people of similar interests, and what interest do I have greater than dmt and ayahuasca  So much so that I decided to dedicate my life to it. I am now the manager/organizer of an ayahuasca healing organization. Don’t want to say which not to reveal my identity, but we work with traditional Amazonian shaman and have a staff of very friendly and loving souls. Nothing gives me more joy than seeing those in need come out healed. Nothing fills my heart more than being able to help others and really couldn't have chosen a better path.

Finding this path wasn't easy though. My journey of self-exploration started when I was in college during the 80's. I was a pretty frequent user of lsd and cannabis at the time and they really helped open my mind and perception. I was studying Marine Biology but later learned that this was not what I was to dedicate my life to. It wasn't until I met my loving husband during my 1st year of studying for my masters did a real turn in my life occur and for the good! We married after a year and both being supporters and lovers of psychedelics we decided to have our honeymoon in the Amazon.

There we stayed with a close French friend and a traditional shaman that took good care of us. We heard from our friend a lot about ayahuasca and always wanted to try it but no matter how much we heard about it there was nothing to prepare us for it. For the ceremony we needed to follow a bunch of restrictions or guidelines for the ayahuasca to reap its greatest benefit. I was completely unaware of this to say the least and was shocked especially at the NO SEX and it was our HONEYMOON! Thinking back if I would have known this before we traveled don’t know if I would have agreed to go. Think my friend knew this as well ;) . Also we were only allowed to eat very bland food no salt, sugar... Mosquitoes everywhere…It was hard to say the least but I learned very worth it.

Anyways the first few journeys were very difficult encountered the dark side of myself that I didn't know existed and I really found myself there in the jungle and then it was pure freedom and love. Learned to love myself in ways never knew was possible. I was filled with so much love and wanted nothing more than to spread it to others as much as possible. My husband had a vision during one of the last trips of what we were supposed to do and the shaman confirmed this. We were supposed to help spread the medicine to westerners. At the time ayahuasca was very unheard of and not many people knew about it. If it wasn't for my close friend, I probably wouldn't have heard about it either but everything happens for a reason! My inner destiny of helping others came to a realization. Ayahuasca wants to be felt around the world not just in the amazon and by locals. The plants help us reconnect to ourselves and nature and I see nothing more important than this. We had to help get ayahuasca to foreigners.

It started veryyy slow and hard but with time and help along the way we grew and now regularly have large groups of participants/patients. Our vision has finally become real and every day is truly a blessing. Also a large amount of our profit goes towards reforestation so we can help give back to mother nature as much as we can. Anyways that’s my story and now I’m here. Hope to help spread my knowledge to others and indulge in some interesting conversation :)

Hello ladygaia,

Thank you for your nice introduction. You chose a beautiful path, and I'm glad you're lucky to walk it with the right partner. I'd love to do that with mine if the circumstances ever allow us.

There's many users here who will relate to what you do and will welcome an ayahuasca practitioner to the community. I'm not the best person for this since I have yet to try ayahuasca myself, but as they used to say, many paths (or was it all the paths?) lead to Rome.

Please do join conversations and share with us your experiences.

Welcome to the Nexus.

*looks around nervously* The ONE and ONLY Gaia?.. I swear I know you from somewhere!

Welcome fellow friend!

Thank you both so much for the warm welcomes. Much love to you from me and yes gaia :)
