Hi!

Look into the work of @Keeper Trout, he's produced some (more than) useful output over the years. Amply suitable for the dedicated autodidact, his publications and presentations would compliment the programme of any ethnobotanical student as well.

Further recommended reading would include, from a more general perspective, the two volumes of "the Encyclopedia of Psychoactive Plants" by Rätsch, and Rätsch & Berger, respectively.

You'll probably want to seek an institution offering courses in ethnobotany and take it from there.

Best of luck, welcome to the Nexus!

Hi 🙂
I would suggest to start your own cactus garden asap. Cacti grow slow!
Grafting peyote onto trichocereus or other suitable stock accellerates their growth very significantly:Peyote graft.jpg
This one ↑ has pupped like crazy, even if the mother rootstock has done fairly well:

A large, flowering peyote can produce hundreds of seeds per year, each seedling bearing the potential to become another 'pup factory' when grafted…

Happy gardening!
