Hi, I just watched this movie yesterday, there were a couple of things that hinted me on that maybe the movie was referencing to a DMT trip.

first, the "don't panic" cover part
then, there's this scene, where they're on a small wagon blasting of through a tunnel, then they pierce some sort of veil and end up in the factory where they make planets ("fabric of the universe"?)

anyway, thought I'd share and see what you guys think about it

There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable.

Douglas Adams said:
"you'd better be prepared for the jump into hyperspace. It's unpleasantly like being drunk."

"What's so unpleasant about being drunk?"

"You ask a glass of water."
