Well, I'm currently in the process of recrystalizing my whole spice stock precisely for that reason.I personally don't like unclean spice, I find the yellow oils give me a bad taste and I came to appreciate the pure smell of spice. (I'm talking real fat here, not a slight yellow undertone.)But more importantly in this case, I just hate it when my copper pad gets black and the condensed spice on the glass isn't pristine. Call me a perfectionist if you wish.Actually, that's my only fear with vaporizing unclean spice on top of the stone, I really don't want to get it black.The little tests I did yesterday didn't leave anything on the stone though.Of course, it seems to me that Changa and jimjam/jungle spice are out of the question with this technique...
