Should I use a hot plate for straight to base extractions I’m using the Noman’s tek. If so can I use it for recrystallization and washing with charcoal as well. Thanks

These types of questions sometimes make me wonder whether certain people should be extracting DMT at a given point in their lives.

It might be helpful for you to think about where you actually are in your life and your level of understanding of, well, a whole lot of stuff. Were one to obtain a hotplate without a built-in temperature control device, it would be wise to obtain some kind of power controller, preferably in combination with a thermal sensor for accurate temperature control. At your current (apparent) level, anything too fancy would be overkill.

Hundreds if not thousands of us have successfully extracted DMT without the use of a hotplate at all.

Use of activated charcoal is something of a rarity. It also adds the problem of how to get it back out of the solution. Do you have proper filtration equipment? In fact, it would be great if you could post a comprehensive and detailed run-down of exactly how you plan to execute the extraction. That would make it a lot easier to tell exactly where you may need further help.
