Jawdrop
Rising Star
SWIM received his MHRB and Caapi this week, and is glad to report pure-white super deluxe fluffy crystals! :d (with the first batch of Changa almost finished!)
Before beginning, SWIM partook in a small amount (SWIM smokes often, so think SMALL amount)of his favorite and finest strain of herb to calm nerves, then stretched and breathed in calming thoughts and out with good will intention and respect for the molecule. Once the breath was calm and felt filled with good energy, SWIM proceeded.
Extraction
SWIM used 100g of MHRB and Q21Q21's Tek 2. Three consecutive pulls were performed, as SWIM was excited to finally put into practice all of the research and careful preparation.
Unfortunately, the yield was less than expected--being 300mg, where the expectation/hope was 500-700mg, taking into account how many pulls were performed. Acknowledging that SWIM's careful ingredient selection greatly increased the probability of a quality product, it was concluded the issue was with the pull itself, as the Tek was memorized to the point that it was SO EASY that an inappropriate (in hindsight) comfort overcame with the process by the time it came to pull, which looks to have hastened the pulls.
With this theory in mind, SWIM then performed a pull 24 hours later, as suggested in the Tek. This time, however, heating the water to a steaming temperature and filling it fuller than before (as previously the water was not steaming much, if at all, and less was used), allowing the Naphtha to sit and warm for a few moments before doing three, much more thorough, but separate stirrings over a 17 minute period. When transferring the Naphtha to precipitation container, it was made sure that every last possible drop was captured (...not the case the first time), as this is surely where the "money" is at (finally using that old brain!). Popped it in the freezer and it seems to be yielding about the same, if not, more, than the first three pulls combined, although with less Naphtha, SWIM expects this type of fast/encouraging result. This was of course re-using the Naphtha from the first attempts (not trying to kill the planet here....).
Changa
SWIM was very excited after scraping up such fluffy, pure-white crystals, and after a quick weigh, popped the lot into a Changa container, mixed briefly with Acetone, and added a proportional amount (300mg) of Caapi. After 2 hours, when the Acetone was completely evaporated; SWIM noticed what appeared to be crystals on the inside walls of the container which they presume to be DMT that didn't fully dissolve. Noticing this, and recalling similar problems in threads read here, SWIM re-added Acetone, and submurged the container in another filled with hot water straight from the tap. Rolling around the warmed mixture to grab the crystals seems to have done the trick, and SWIM hopes for better results when checking the finished product tomorrow.
Any thoughts on SWIM's troubleshooting or results? Efficiency with such things is of importance
Kind thanks to all for their knowledge and support. Without it, SWIM would not have the broad perspective to realize possible mistakes made--much less perform the extraction.
PS. T-20 hours to blast-off!
Keep it real, and be happy
