How to break through with a CVG

So, I decided to break out some DMT last night. I have only broken through once and that was via a normal pipe and ashes. Anyway, I put 8 or 10 screens in my VG and loaded the DMT. I can't use a torch lighter with it, I have to use a regular lighter because the torch burns the laquer around the top ball (I know from experince.)

Anyway, I started low and was having fun. I eventually packed a 50mg dose to try to break through but I just couldn't seem to produce enough vapor per hit. It would probably take 4 hits to get all the vapor.

Is the key just not to hold the hits very long so you can hurredly take another hit? I was holding them like 7 seconds each before going to the next hit and I think that may be my problem.

And tips/tricks?

I could always smoalk moar but I would rather master my technique.

use the torch... imo the lacquer on a pipe knows from the get-go it's gonna get burnt, & i'd much rather scar my pipe than waste my spice...

I just smoked a big pile of DMT with my VG, not a glass one, the regular version, i had a small bed of used lavender buds, the rest was filled to the top with DMT, i don't know how much that is, but it was most likely the biggest pile i ever smoked and i did not break through, this is not weird for me, i never really broke through .

The first hit was nothing, no smoke, no feeling, only hot air, the second i got little smoke, and slightly drowsy, eventually i took 3 more hits and applied more heat aswell and i got a huge body high, my whole room was vibrating and kinda pixeled, but when i closed my eyes i didn't even had any clear visuals, just mildly and undefined textures, different then usual though.

I don't know about the VG anymore, my best results i always got with my bong, ash layer method, maybe i should stick with that.

I'm pretty much doing the same as you did, i hold the hits about 8 slow counts and then take another and hold it about as long as before, i have almost no smoke when i exhale either.

When that lacquer melts and bubbles from the torch you can taste it when you inhale. I would much rather waste some spice than inhale burning lacquered wood with my hit, but that's just me.
