How to measure the dose?

Noob here.

I've been a lurker here for a while and I've read the guides several times. I know what doses of the ingredients to use for light, moderate, or strong doses but I want to know how to measure the amount for ayahuasca. For example, if I only wanted to consume 10-20mg of aya to get acquainted with the vine and DMT, how would I calculate that since aya is in liquid form?

I've tried looking this up here and on other sites.

Okay, well it's not possible to tell you exactly how strong a given amount of material is without extraction but here's my advice.

Brew your caapi seperate from chacruna. Let's say you have 1kg of dried vine and 1kg of dried leaves. After you've done your boils you want to reduce this down to a known quantity of liquid based on 2 factors, a rough dosage and an amount you want to consume. I usually aim for a shot glass (~40ml) for my vine and chacruna.

Make an assumption that around 50g of caapi will be enough have enough maoi effect. 1kg/50g = 20 doses, 20 doses x 20 mls (half of the total of 40mls I said I like) = 400ml this is how much you want to reduce your vine serving down to.

Make an assumption that you have Hawaiian chacruna and that 10g will be enough dose. 10kg/10g = 100 doses. 100 doses * 20mls = 2L. This is how much to reduce your chacruna down to.

You'll want to test your vine first (at least I recommend that) so take 20mls of it and see how you feel. You can raise or lower it depending on what results you get.

Next time you can add chacruna, start with 20mls (perhaps even 10mls) alongside your 20mls of vine. You can adjust from there.
