How to potentiate Iboga?

Migrated topic.

Are there any good synergy plants to be combined with iboga in order to increase its potency?

This would be useful to someone who has access only to a few grams of root bark, not enough for a typical fullblown inner journey, but still going for a deeper more immersive experience.

My first response was who in this hell we call heaven would ever want to POTENTIATE IBOGA!?!?!

Then I figured that, given their track record with DMT, LSD and psilocybian fungi, harmalas may be a useful potentiator, although i have no clue why in the hell you'd want to potentiate iboga... It's one heckuva hydra as it is

I noted one time a while ago now that on combining a small dose of mushrooms (liberty caps) with an iboga microdose that it was the iboga that seemed a lot more potentiated than the mushrooms. I've heard of some people ingesting mushrooms late on in an iboga experience, or a short time after a flood experience to good effect...there doesn't seem to be a clash between them but I would still suggest caution and to go light on the mushrooms to start with. I would urge even greater caution if contemplating experimenting with harmalas (although this was done by some Nexus members a while back to good effect), and would only suggest microdosing if you wish to experiment. In central Africa cannabis is sometimes used alongside small dose of iboga, I'm not sure to what degree it will potentiate the experience and to what degree it will modulate the experience.

Combining iboga with salvia is probably safe, physically. I don't think i need to mention here, that it could be an extremely powerfull combination that would probably not wise to do all by yourself.

The effects of iboga are dose dependant.

1-In small amounts, most of it's effects aren't realy noticeable. The effects that become apparent in small amounts are mostly effects, simmilar to those of harmala alkaloïds.
2-When larger amounts are taken, iboga's NMDA-antagonism starts to kick in.
3-The effects on the kappa opioïd receptor become noticeable only, when realy large amounts are taken.

So in a sense, salvia would be a perfect match.

Iboga hast been linked to many deaths even with "pure" plant usage. Be carefull.
Rather try to up the dose of iboga at a safe level than mix it with a strong potentiator.

As with harmala alkaloids, it's worth bearing in mind the metabolic aspects of iboga. By that I mean that, for instance, ibogaine gets turned into noribogaine which is also responsible for some of the (long lasting) spectrum of effects. It therefore is wise to be aware of possible metabolic interactions of any other plants or substances you might plan to ingest with iboga.

And, yeah, I was also thinking "POTENTIATE IBOGA!?!?!?! WTF!!???"
