Hyperspace Preparation

Migrated topic.
1. lock all doors
2. take out phone battery (turned into a horrible trip when it went off in hyperspace!)
3. sit on the toilet for 5 minutes
4. set-up itunes playlist
5. prepare pipe
6. chillax for 5 minutes
7. close the bedroom door, dim the lights, crank the music way down... blast off!

Make sure your environment is good to go.
Realize you're going to see incredible things.
I think that's it.
Lighting and music is optional, when my friend has took a bunch of hits he can't hear the music anymore so it doesn't really matter.

just a couple of things my friend does:

4) music isn't always best loud, infact quiet music can be very conductive to experiencing the trip more fully
3) sitting cross-legged on the ground can be far more beneficial than sitting in a chair
2) always have a clear intention, question or some other intent, meditate on it
and... most importantly.......
1) AIM FOR LOVE!!!

srsly, you don't want to visit the dark places dmt can take you to, its not worth it.

I plan to give serious consideration to and reflection on these one-line quotes from "The Lazy Man's Guide to Enlightenment" :

We are equal beings and the universe is our relations with each other.
What am I doing on a level of consciousness where this is real?
No resistance.
Love as much as you can from wherever you are.
Whether I am conscious of it or not, I am one with the cause of all that exists.
Whether I feel it or not, I am one with all the love in the universe.
Love is the only dimension that needs to be changed
Go beyond reason to love: it is safe. It is the only safety.
All states of consciousness are available right now.
It's always within us to relate this way.
Enlightenment doesn't care how you get there.
Whatever you are doing, love yourself for doing it.
There is nothing you need to do first in order to be enlightened.
This, too, can be experienced with a completely expanded awareness.
I wouldn't deny this experience to the One Mind.
What did you think it was that needed to be loved?
When you learn to love hell, you will be in heaven.
Thank you, brothers and sisters, for letting my consciousness be in this place.

I think its a very personal thing the prepararation before hyperspace. I personally chime my tingshas to clear negative energy from the room and bring in positive energy. I make sure that i am as clean as possible for my journey (I like to have a good bath and scrub down.) I switch off my cell phone as to make sure i'm not disturbed. I also usually burn natural Tibetan incense which is healing and also neutralizes the energy in the room. I like to have a specific intention that i focus on before journeying, I clear my mind completely and make sure my cat is also present as he enjoys being near during my journeying. I like to hold a crystal in my hand to. I personally choose not to have any music playing as i feel the music influences my journey to much and i prefer to only have influence from nature and the spice itself during the journey. I think each person has there own little rituals that they like to incorporate in their own personal preparation.

Much Peace

For lone missions:

- Bathe and brush teeth
- Lower lighting level
- Turn phone and other technology that won't be of any use in hyperspace off
- Put something less kicking on on the sound system, turn the bass up and turn the music down
- Build something to smoke, have half and leave the rest in the ashtray by the bed
- Load up the hyperspace transportation device and leave by bed
- Move bin nearer to bed
- Remove clothes
- Find the most comfortable position possible under the duvet
- Ignite hyperspace transportation device, wait for dissolution of reality and pull duvet over head
- Get into foetal position and hope for a good journey

SWIM only ever goes when he feels like he is in the right frame of mind. (Maybe this is why he's never been to any scary places?)
He usually burns some copal first. Sometimes some palo santo too.
He has started playing Icaro Cunto Shamanico (shamen of Peru) while he makes his preparations and this really helps to make a sacred atmosphere.
He like to go in on track 3- the 'ayawaska song' he calls it!
Nowadays he prefers to have company. He asks a female companion to hold his hand or his heart when he goes in.
If he goes alone, he now likes the music really quiet- friendly downtempo like Bluestates 'Nothing Changes under the Sun'.
He lies on a sofa with his head propped up, or in his bed the same way, or in his big comfey chair.

What about smoking spliff and cigaretes??before of course. if not a good idea, how long to abstain from smoking before going to hyperspace? ive read
that being stoned clouds the effects, is this true??

I have had many crutches in life, sometimes I need em just to walk...

Which is why I guess I conciously try to not need any crutches for hyperspace.
I face it and go in without a moment's warning. Just like many of us will at the end of our physical mortal journey.

Someone mentioned something about doing it when it feels right. I try to do this too, but sometimes just for the sake of point one, I would do it when I'm not ready. I have had bad experiences with all phsycedelics I have been exposed to since my younger years. D is kind of the exception for me.

While most other substances tends to dwell on our physical existance, D just seems to (for me) focus on what comes after.
