I suppose it's time to come out of the darkness...

Hello all! After having my first experience with the spice a week ago tomorrow, I've spent countless hours learning from this wonderful community. Thank you! After much consideration I've decided to give a go at contributing, especially since I know that my learning is just beginning (when is it not? ha!). So a little about myself:

My first psychedelic experience was four years ago and I never stopped! I love partaking in substances that expand my mind, as apposed to those that turn it to sludge... Yes I have had many an experience with such items, etoh, opiates, benzos, stimulants, etc... I share this because I've been to the dark side and psychs have been an extremely valuable force in moving me into a positive/present life.

I've just begun practicing nursing. I take pride in my alternative perspective to American health care. I'm currently in the U.S. pushing them pills and enforcing quantity not quality of life (this does NOT vibe with my ideals!). So to counter balance the system thats in place, I love to provide my patients with ideas of alternative modes of healing. Weather it be meditation, music therapy, or just being someone who's not too busy to listen. I work with the older population and have experienced death with many that I have cared about. I think of life as a continuum, death should be talked about more, I want a celebration of my life not sadness from my death! I believe spice has the power to start those conversations...

Travel is a huge passion of mine and I hope to do more! This past winter was my first time volunteering as a nurse, I was in the Dominican Republic when the earthquake in Haiti struck... Experiencing a vastly different culture for the first time moved a part of my soul in ways that are unexplainable. (I drove x-country the summer before, and a small eurotrip, just not nearly as cool) The extreme raw emotion that was evoked by that trip is the only thing I find comparable when explaining the experience I had with the spice.

I have much more exploring to do, in many aspects of life. My first experience with the spice has filled me with great inspiration, I can't wait to see where my learning takes me.

much love :D
