I believe herbs are a gift for humans to heal themselves.  Most of the time, creating a prescription drug involves taking a plant remedy and trying to find a way to mass produce and patent it.  Phenelzine is from a time before this was common practice, when real drugs were made.

If you are dosing daily and repeated, your MAO is going to be shut down regardless.  Phenelzine is generally well tolerated and calming.  The side effect list is long, but if you look at the things written by people who are actually using it, the main thing that bothers people is feeling overly sedated (which is a non issue on DMT ) and it is a wonder drug that completely transforms their life.

Don't hate a molecule just because it has bad relatives.  It is kind, it wants to help you.
