Mr Ident
Evenin' everyone,
I had posted my introductory essay when I first registered but it was basically just a brief list of my experiences with various substances through the years. I didn't really put my hand up and express a definite interest in becoming a full-blown member since I had only recently stumbled across DMT and it caught my attention in a big, big way. Through reading online about it, like so many people before me, I came across this site and was blown away by the depth of information, the quality of the posts and the overwhelming sense of love and support shown. Other than my own postings, questions and responses I've been on here every day, practically all day reading and learning about such diverse subjects as quantum physics, organic LSD and artistic interpretations of the DMT experience! It's astonishing to know that such a community exists, apparently schism-free and full of genuine seekers of knowledge and I would be proud to be a part of it. Hopefully this posting doesn't get construed as some begging letter, or an exercise in kissing virtual ass - I really do mean what I say and have nothing but respect for this site and it's members.
So why should I be allowed in? Would I be a member of a club who would have me as a member?! (To blatantly theive from my hero, Groucho Marx)
The reasons I would like to become a full member of your community are many. Firstly, I feel like I was supposed to find this site when I did. Maybe DMT called me to it, maybe it's all coincidence and maybe I'm clinically insane. Who knows? Either way, I have never frequented a forum for such an extended period of time or learned so much from any other site online. For this reason, whether or not I get accepted, it will remain the number one source for all things DMT-related for which I'm grateful.
What could/would you bring to the site?
I'm a musician and professional creative obsessive. If there's ever any need for artwork, music, video, motion graphics, banners, designs etc etc etc then I'd be willing to do it absolutely free of charge. The same applies to members of the site, if I can help with anything then I'll do it. I don't mean this in any sort of 'bribery' sense, just trying to say that I have some skills in some stuff which I'd be more than happy to use for the benefit of this site as a thank you for all it's given me.
Other than my creative stuff, I like to think I'm a pretty laid-back, easy going person who can have a laugh and get on well with other people. I'd love to be able to contribute my own experiences to the site and encourage other newcomers to do the same, participate in other discussions particularly in the spirituality and philosophy section and also to get advice in the various other areas which I've become interested in since coming here.
To sum it up, I've never come across a site like this and to be part of it would be fantastic. If not, I'm happy to just read and learn from a distance! Thanks very much if you've taken the time to read my epic post and I'll pay for the matchsticks you used to prop up your eyes.....
