I'm pretty excited to be apart of these forums!

Rising Star
After months of curiosity about DMT and seeing the benefits it brings to those who have experience with it, I've decided to become apart of the community. I've been opening my mind to everything especially within this past year and I've completely became a different person as a result of it. My experiences with Mushrooms was an epiphany of my whole life, resulting with me finally quitting my horrible job, getting myself back into school (and achieving a 3.8 which is higher than I've ever recieved) and from the looks of it, DMT can only do nothing but further it. I'm sure I'll have a lot of questions along my journey but as it appears, you all are pretty helpful. Feels good to be home!

Hello fatdan,

Welcome to the Nexus. Your Introduction Essay is full of energy and excitement - thank you so much for sharing that. I really enjoyed it.

I'd love to hear more about how mushrooms transformed you. I mean that sounds amazing - and kudos on the superior GPA. All I can say is keep up the good work.

Remember, entheogens have their place, but the best work (in my opinion) is done when we aren't tripping, during the integration periods. Also, school, work, family obligations, etc. always take precedence over tripping for us here. I hope you feel the same way.

So, can you tell us a bit more about yourself - maybe your area of focus in school? Hobbies, interests, etc. Level of psychedelic experience to date - is it just the mushrooms? Did you grow or hunt down your own?

Please take a good look around this place - it's huge and growing every day. Lots of research being done on new plants and how to extract from them. It's an exciting time to be a Nexian and I'm very glad you've joined our family.

Again, welcome to the Nexus.

Welcome to the Nexus fatdan!!

That's great to hear how positively entheogens have impacted your life. I had a similar mushroom trip, but instead it motivated me to quit doing opiates and straighten up my life.

I had a complete ego loss. I was doing many bad things that were impacting my life negatively, and I was horribly addicted to opiates. I saw myself from a different perspective and saw what I was doing. It motivated me to change my life. It was a very traumatic experience but I am glad it happened to me.

It is trips like these that confirm my belief that there is something more to these drugs than just a high.

I look forward to seeing you around here fatdan.

Wow. I wouldnt have known. And I wish I would have experience that will cure me, im currently on methadone and hope to quit one day.

Thanks everyone! and sure I'll go a little deeper about myself. First, the mushrooms really gave me that ego reduction everyone talks about. I literally came up with solutions to all my problems at the time and it still has a lasting effect on me. I've focused on more positive things and dropped negative people from my life and just started to care more about others. I even came to the conclusion that the meaning of life was for humans to maintain the Earth's fruits by eating. (Talk about a huge ego blow. being reduced to Earth's janitors. haha)

I'm very interested in music and I currently work at a radio station. I'm attending school to get a communications degree.

I look at the dmt experience with a respectful view. I'm not looking to do it just to 'get wasted' or anything of that nature. I found my mother dead when i was 19 and ever since I've been the only one to feel her presence and have spoken to her in dreams (as my little sister has to in virtually the same exact dream). I'm hoping this experience can bring closure between me and my mother spiritually and maybe help me level out my priorities.

Do I sound ready for it?

welcome fatdan,

it's nice to hear that you have had such positive experiences with psychedelics.

Whether you are ready for dmt or not, only you can know. However it seems you have a good approach. As for hoping for closure etc I don't know if it is perhaps too much expectation going into a dmt experience. In my experience we have very little control over what dmt shows us and how that directly affects us. I can only marvel at the vastness of possibilities that we seem to be able to experience when altering our consciousness this way!

For something as concrete as the issue you describe I would suggest trying ayahuasca or an analogue, rather than using vaporized dmt. But then again, you really never know. It could be that vaporizing dmt gives you just exactly what you need.

In any case, wishing you the best of luck on your further journey.

I still am not really "ready" for the DMT experience when it happens, but I am prepared.

You just have to commit to the experience. If you feel like it is something you want to venture into. Then do it. :)

Right on! Yeah I was thinking about going with ayahuasca for something like this. I know it won't exactly confront me with my mother per se but just the experience itself i feel will bring a new light to life and death to me just as shrooms helped me realize how much positivity truly does effect your life for the better.
