I'm struggling to get good results

Migrated topic.

I have been inconsistent each time and I'm unsure why. Can anyone please help. Can I use vinegar without having to heat? First time I made it it was perfect but I can't manage to replicate it every time

Heat is your friend. You want it to be present throughout the proceS. Helps the DMT break free from the plant material and helps it be more available?

How much lye are you using? What's your total volume? How much starting material for bark? Is your solvent as well as your soup heated before mixing and pulling?

Hey bro thanks for your comment. I use 100g lye, 100g bark and 750ml water and 150ml of solvent. I am experimenting and tried salt but can't seem to get the big crystals 😔 is there a trick to freeze precipitation to help get better results?

You may just need to do some more pulls. If I'm not mistaken, most teks require more than that. Though when you dial in your process you can start figuring out ways to use less.

For bigger crystals, I tend to get more large crystals when there's less solvent saturating the DMT (just before it crashes out) and have most of the solvent concentrated in a narrower space (such as the corner of a Pyrex dish, done by tilting the back corners to get it to lean in the freezer). I've read that you can also get bigger crystals by alternating precipitation time between the freezer and refrigerator.

While large crystals are a sign of higher quality, as long as you're pulling white spice, it's generally clean and desirable.

Are you getting dark colored results? Low yield? If it's just low yield, it could also be from low quality bark.

I'm starting to think it is the bark pal! Someone got this bark for me instead of me getting it myself. I've attached a photo of the crystals I'm getting

Would using a smaller dish help?

Absolutely it would. 100g of bark can easily be concentrated in a couple ounces of solvent. Use half pint/pint canning jars once you've evaporated to saturation. You'll get better crystal formation.

It looks like you're pulling quality spice, just small yields of it.

Yeah thanks bro the spice is really clean looking its just small that's all 😂 I got a good Yield earlier and I'm noticing the less solvent in the dish the better so I'm spreading it across 3 dishes

Also using a canning jar how can you get the crystals out is that not difficult? I'm gonna get a shallow round Pyrex dish for next time. I have a kilo of bark to play with
